And thanks a lot for this projector for helping my kids' eyes! ### ⭐ Very mixed experience, not for the sophisticated user who knows sound and video *by S***S on February 22, 2022* Update March 2024: This item still sits on display next to my living room chair, a reminder of the costly (US$1,600) mistake of purchasing this projector. It lasted 14 months. After its total failure, XGIMI wants $340 in shipping charges, to and from Hong Kong, their only repair facility in the world. There are no supply sources for parts. I have given XGIMI nearly two years to make good in any way and all they offer is for me to spend more money for their products. Initially, I wrote an 8 page review after trying this XGIMI projector in the same house with an Epson Home Theater 3800. The latter is a complete work of mature technology delivering what it promises well and reliably. It is truly easy to use. The XGIMI is not a joy to use. It tauts 4K quality and Dolby sound, but it has neither Dolby Atmos nor Dolby Vision. It has insufficient contrast to operate during the daytime with good quality images. My other projectors do fine in the same location. It is terrible with lower quality streams, excellent with some high quality streams, at night in an unlit living room if you can use yours that way. We are using our 9th and 10th projectors. The first two are Epsons whose new bulbs cost more than the projectors are worth, below HD. The others all broke, failed and lie without attention from dodgy companies who do not honor their promises. Optoma, BenQ gave us lemons, in particular the former with a laser lamp and now over 1,000 broken pixels. They offer a request station for RMAs online but no way to get an RMA and no help pushing from the ninth month over into the 14th month, so no help. We are tired of these expenses and false claims, but we cannot spend every day of our sunset years trying to make things right. We confidently recommend the Epson HT 3800. It is a compromise for those of us who don't have $8,000 to get a reliable and competent projector. So this is a summary.
