Review: Great Recreational Dive Watch! - UPDATE @ 09/14/25: I have never changed, or added an addendum, to a previous review I’ve written. However, this particular watch is absolutely remarkable in its accuracy. I realize that I was very fortunate when I acquired this particular watch to end up with an automatic mechanism that is so accurate because, by their very nature, the identical automatic mechanisms are not always “identical” in terms of their accuracy. A dear friend of mine had a Presidents Rolex which he would reset every day because it would be off by several minutes. Perhaps his watch was an anomaly, however, I have owned enough automatic manual watches to know their mechanisms can vary greatly. But a couple years later this watch’s accuracy is still remarkable! Finally, I noticed one reviewer, which gave it one star, said it wasn’t a real sapphire crystal. I have worn this watch virtually every single day for the last two plus years. I have worn it while using just about every woodworking power tool imaginable; I wear it while weed eating; I have hit the crystal (accidentally) on a number of hard, even metallic, surfaces and to this day there is not one scratch on it (not even microscopic). In addition, I noticed that some said their watch arrived in a paper envelope and not even in a box. That would be unacceptable obviously! Mine however arrived in a nice presentation box inside of a cardboard box surrounded by protective paper wrapping. I wish everyone purchasing this watch could have the same experience I have had. Again, it has been a truly remarkable time piece! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have owned many many automatic/manual watches in my life with most being Dive watches. Of all the Dive watches I’ve owned this is by far one of my very favorite (and least expensive). While I have owned Dive watches that were much more massive (in size and weight) this watch does have a nice feel to it while not being too massive. In addition, I was unexpectedly surprised to discover how accurate the movement of this particular watch is. Since receiving it; this watch has remained so accurate that I would not bother resetting it except about once every week and even then the adjustment would be a matter of less than 30 seconds. Considering the normal “expected” accuracy of the movement used in this watch; the accuracy I experienced is quite reasonable. Finally, the finish of the watch is extremely nice considering its low cost. All in all the ADDIESDIVE “DEEPSEAHUNTER” is one of the nicest recreational dive watches I’ve owned and the sapphire crystal, with its slight curve and polished finish, is nicer looking (in my opinion) than the face of the ROLEX Presidents I used to own. Review: Great watch, great value - I have way too many watches and this one is one of my favorites. The silver dial and silver bezel with the stainless steel case and bracelet make it a beautiful Tuna homage. It’s pretty chunky, but the design of the lugs makes it wear smaller and very comfortably. The Seiko movement is hand winding, hackable and dialed in making it one of my most accurate automatic watches. The bezel has a very satisfying and smooth operation while aligning perfectly. The lume is ok but not as brilliant as some of my other Addiesdive watches and the pressed clasp is not up to par with the rest of the watch. I replaced the pressed clasp with a decent milled clasp(see photo) for less than $10. For the money this watch is extremely impressive and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have a very tiny wrist.

Great watch, great value
I have way too many watches and this one is one of my favorites. The silver dial and silver bezel with the stainless steel case and bracelet make it a beautiful Tuna homage. It's a very nice watch.
I was looking for a tool watch. I'd been searching for a Seiko baby Tuna, not the Street series version which is considerably smaller and doesn't look the same. I thought I'd found one$425, but it was actually sold out. Any that I found after that was at ridiculous prices. When I found this watch it was perfect. Has a good movement NH35, bezel and indices lign up, and it looks and feels great. I have no complaints. I love the dial and the lume is good. I personally can't stand Seiko's "5" series symbol and the Prospex symbols on the dials. I was settling on the Prospex Baby Tuna and I convinced myself I'd get use to the Prospex symbol and non-alignment of the bezel and indices, which are common with Seikos. I'm very happy that I didn't find and spend too much on a Baby Tuna. I got the type of watch I wanted for approx $190 as opposed to a $400+ watch that I wasn't all that thrilled with, especially for a tool/beater watch. The bracelet is surprisingly nice, it feels good. Unfortunately, I bought the watch so that I could put it on a thick leather band. If you're looking at this watch, don't hesitate. It's extremely nice for the price.

Not bad for the price. Under certain light, the dial does not look black
It's a pretty nice watch for the price. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because the dial, at times, does not look black. It's more of a dark blue. The watch is chunky but that's what I like. The hands are brushed nickel (I think) where as the rest of the watch is really a brushed stainless steel (or at least a steel looking). The band is very cheap feeling. But I think that's be to expected for this price of a watch. My guess is the band will scratch easily. Overall I would recommend this watch to someone that likes this style of watch with the ideal that you're not buying a thousand dollar watch.

Beautiful!
I purchased the steel version of this watch and it is beautiful! The dial and the bezel are both stainless, which makes it all-over stainless steel, which is really appealing to me. The heft and size of this watch and bracelet are substantial, and make a bold statement. The bezel rotates tightly with sturdy clicks, and lines up correctly on the indices. The lume is long-lasting and can be easily read after more than six hours. It has keep very accurate time during the week I've owned it, off less than 5 seconds, when checked against a radio controlled clock. Last, but not least, the price is $300.00+ less than the original, even if you could find one in all-stainless. I couldn't be happier with this beautiful watch.

Punches above its class.
For what you are paying for and what you get as a watch is very impressive to say the least. Homage watch with their own flair, yeah sure it is. Does it feel and look good? You bet it does. As a semi watch nerd, I had to see what this brand was up to. Now I can say if you won’t be disappointed by quality vs cost, and I mean that as a good thing. It punches above it’s class, if you get what I’m saying.

Blue reflection blows it.
I love the watch but I bought it because of the gray color. The sapphire has a blue reflection as all of the Chinese watches do. In this particular watch it makes the dial look champagne instead of gray. Otherwise I still love it.

When I saw the Waves of Kanagawa Tuna version, I was hooked. The Addies Tuna is a beautiful watch, to have a world renown Japanese painting on the dial is quite unique. And you see all the main features of the painting on this small dial face, including Mount Fuji. Amazing. And the details even show up in the dark. Double amazing. I lived one year in Japan and this homage to this painting means a lot. The watch looks great in all angles and the Tuna model is of course also a beautiful piece. It's my fourth Addies and this watch is also very well finished. Although I like the stainless bracelet, I changed for a more refined stainless one and I wear that watch only on special occasions. Overall a great looking piece for the price.

Update - I’ve been wearing the watch on and off for a month now, works well but feels heavy. I replaced the bracelet with a silicone diver band I had from a citizen diver. It feels and looks so much better. Getting rid of the generic bracelet is an improvement. Also, there is no helium valve after all. - end update. For the price it’s actually not bad. Not really a diver watch. There’s no wet suit extension on the bracelet. The bracelet is a no name bracelet with a decent feel. The case is large and hosts a helium escape valve, not sure if the valve is cosmetic or functional. The bezel is unidirectional with one click per second, it’s a little rough and probably more decorative than functional, the digits on the bezel are small and most probably not visible in the water. The crown will screw down somewhat roughly and is decorated with a logo. The face is loomed and bright when light-charged. The movement is supposed to be a Seiko NH35A, an excellent low cost movement. The watch came in a “watertight” case, a nice surprise…
