Or do I have to put already boiling water into it?** A: Yes, it is definitely suitable to heat water in the teapot directly on the stove. I bought this item a few weeks ago and have used it every day since. Every time I have heated the teapot on the stove burner. I have a gas stove. My husband even uses my teapot to heat water for his coffee. It heats up quite quickly. The handle on the teapot is very hot for at least a few minutes. This has not been a problem for me as I just move it from the stove top to my counter with an oven mit, and when my tea is done brewing the handle is cooled down. **Q: Is the teapot microwave save?** A: I love this teapot, and find it best to put it in the microwave to heat the water after removing the metal parts. I can bring the water to a rolling boil and the glass is very hot, so the temperature is held high for brewing. It will also stay hot if you use a tea cozy and pad underneath. **Q: Does the lid still fit when you remove the infuser?** A: You can remove the infuser, but you have to leave the lip that the infuser fits through in the teapot for the lid to still fit. Works great **Q: Can you heat it on a teapot warmer (with candles)?** A: I would guess yes…I have not used tealites but have used it on my gas stovetop. ## Frequently Bought Together - HIWARE 1000ml Glass Teapot with Removable Infuser, Stovetop Safe Tea Kettle, Blooming and Loose Leaf Tea Maker Set - Chamomile Tea 1LB (16Oz) 100% CERTIFIED Organic (USDA seal) Chamomile Flowers Herbal Tea (Matricaria Chamomilla) in 1 lb Bulk Kraft BPA free Resealable Bags from U.S. Wellness - FGO Organic Gunpowder Green Tea, Loose Leaf, 16oz Bulk Resealable Bag, Packaging May Vary (Pack of 1) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/33844659-1000ml-glass-teapot-with-removable-infuser-stovetop-safe-tea-kettle](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/33844659-1000ml-glass-teapot-with-removable-infuser-stovetop-safe-tea-kettle) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
