Worked like a charm. Its hard to get proper working ones these days. Had a bad time buying duplicate stuff in ebay.

Good shield!
Shields are easy to use. This one is a good quality shield. I used it with some of the Arduino how to books. I have personally moved away from shields and uno boards altogether. I buy the atmega chips now and breadboard them into my projects. I still use the uno board to get the project working, but then move everything over to a breadboard when I am finished. It is a lot cheaper that way. For easy of use the uno boards and shields are the way to go. If you get comfortable with soldering and creating your own circuit boards, you can save money buying just the needed components. If you put a value on your time, you may want to stick to shields. They are much easier to work with. It is pretty much just plug and play.
