This little sharpener is just perfect for at home use. It's more powerful than expected and has been working perfectly. It's smaller than a soda can, so it sits discretely on my desk while plugged into an normally unused usb port.I used to have a 115V plug in model, that fell once and broke. This little sharpener has made the perfect replacement.

This item broke 1 month after purchasing it. I bought it for my 89 year old grandmother since she is not well enough to do other activities. The battery cover pops off for no reason every time I try to use it (the plastic is not broken). I rubber banded it together hoping to hold it in place. The rubber was a temporary fix that did not work well. it only sharpens if you push the pencil in a specific way while taped up applying pressure holding it together. I am very disappointed. I try to find things my grandmother enjoys and she tries not to tell me when things are wrong so it is difficult already communicating with her and it would have been nice to just have a functioning sharpener. The only way it will work now is if it is taped up holding it shut. The reason for the tape placed that was is so it is like a tab so I can pull the tape off clean when emptying it.

It worked well for a few months, but eventually stopped sharpening. I tried to take it apart and put it back together, but it didn't sharpen any better. Wish it had been more durable.

I homeschool and work from home so I was sick of hand sharpening pencils. This ONLY plugs in to a USB port, but I have iPads so I just used their chargers. Keep that in mind while ordering too. Sharpens quick and is a great compact size that can do the job. My ONLY complaint is when you clean it out the clear plastic piece is not a catching area. If you take that off, it all spills out so hold the WHOLE thing over a garbage can while emptying out.

Doesn't always hone the pencils as sharp as i would like, but certainly acceptable.after using this for some months, i'm really not pleased - using my manual sharpener sometimes sharpens pencils better than this one.

We use it at home for homework. I like the usb plug. It works well for as much as we use it. And the price is great

good value at its low price. sharpens well. extra blade is big plus (replaces a working one with worn blade w/ no replacement available. comes with usb cord so no cost for batteries that may leak over time of limited use.
