Van Heusenmens Dress Shirt Oxford Solid Regular Fit

I've been with my spouse for 6 years now, and like with many big and tall guys who never learned how to shop for themselves (outside of rugby - man knows *everything* about sports gear) or articulate clearly what kinds of clothing he likes/dislikes (he's one of those people who says he's fine with everything, but like all of us has preferences), the clothing struggles (fit, comfort, and durability especially) are real. He's a lawyer and recently made the switch to litigator, (which means he now needs to appear in court), which is where this shirt and I stepped in. I bought two as initial test balloons because my spouse *hates* anything resembling a slim fit in button down shirts, and historically we've just had awful luck finding shirts even in his so-called size that work for him (regular fit or not).His opinion (short version) is that they fit perfectly and he loves them. Long version is that, after trying on these shirts, he was blown away because, for the first time did not pull at the shoulders, armpits, or wrists, and in fact fit him perfectly. He actually was at a loss for a bit because he's become so used to experiencing mild discomfort/pulls under his arms/etc. (he also has broad shoulders) that not having those feelings was just weird for him. Even though the shirt wasn't a "tall," it tucked in well enough to his pants, but still gave him that more classic has-worked-for-decades regular/blousy feel that isn't trendy right now, but still looks good. If you like slimmer lines at all, SIZE DOWN, because this shirt is not going to do it for you otherwise. I'd've named it a "classic" fit versus "regular" fit if I were at Van Heusen, but that's just me. However, if you are or are shopping for someone who likes a more old-school fit, and/or are looking for someone with broader shoulders and a bigger frame who wants clothes that accommodate that, get a couple and try it out. You might find yourself stockpiling. We also liked how the collars have buttons on them, which means that if he doesn't send them out for dry cleaning, the collars still won't be a mess in front of a judge (an issue with his current suit shirts) because he can keep them buttoned and just weave his ties through. The weave/fabric content is also a smidge heavier, which was nice given that we live in Chicago, which has three seasons of cold. Also, it means that the shirt settles nicely - the issue with lighter shirt fabrics on bigger guys is they sometimes puff out. This drapes beautifully. Finally, the overall quality is nice and durable.tl;dr They were exactly what he never knew he needed in a dress shirt. I have now bought a total of 13 shirts in different colorways for him @ the current $19.99 price-point for him to use and as archived backups for when we inevitably have to replace them. They perfectly suit his needs, and I only wish this particular line had more colorways. Finally, usually my spouse hates it when people buy him clothes, but he was so pleased with my shirt-shopping spree that he went out and got me a fun gardening accessory as thanks. ☺️

I tend to be a fan of the Van Heusen and this shirt is proving to be no exception to that rule. I needed something a bit nicer for a formal event I was attending and decided to splurge a bit and buy a couple new shirts. I bought two of this same shirt and I'm happy with them.This is a men's dress shirt. I ordered a XXXL as I tend to order larger than I need. I'm a wheelchair user and I tend to find I need a little extra room for bending, stretching, etc. This is a regular fit shirt with a button-down collar. It's cut from washed cotton and has a wrinkle-free finish. It is also machine wash and dry.I really wanted a shirt that was 100% cotton because of skin allergies. This works nicely.Overall, I'm really happy with this shirt. It's got a relaxed fit, looks great, and is super comfortable. It does well with the wrinkle-free aspect and looks great whether I'm dressed casually or wearing a tie. I would easily order more and will likely end up doing so. This is another winner from Van Heusen.

I wear these 5 days/week... Fits the bill with no need to iron... Seems like they will be durable.Points for improvement? 1) A bit heavy 2) Wish it were more cotton blend vs polyester as this would improve comfort and weight

Based on prices of other higher end labels, this shirt certainly is a great deal for everyday work. Nothing glamorous just a good quality shirt for the office.

Shirts are fine for cooler months. However, we live in a very warm summer climate, so I will order more with higher cotton content. Good value

I have broad shoulders so a normal Medium does not fit because the shirt binds up under my armpits. A large is what I would usually order; however, after reading many reviews that said these shirts run large I bought the Medium on the "try before you buy" program. The Medium fit me exactly as I had hoped, the sleeves, the shoulders, the chest, the collar, all are fine.

Great name brand shirt. Quality product and durable. Double stitched polyester / cotton blend , make this an excellent work shirt . Suitable for an evening out too. Pun intended.

Though I find it a little fluffy for its size, I like the texture of the shirt and the fact that they have two button in the neck-collar area so it doesn't lose its shape at the top. I like to wear this shirt as a first layer, as shown in the pics. Otherwise, it will be a little bit fluffy if I only wear this item without a cardigan or something, but that's my style. I will probably order some more as I like this one and it marries well the body.

Top shelf dress shirt. Wash in warm, cool dry and it won't shrink. I needed this shirt for a short film I shot (see pic) and it didn't disappoint. 60% cotton so it does breath fairly well but I found it does get a tad warm when moving about at a medium pace. I'm sure I'll get a few years use out of this well built dress shirt. Shipping was faster than expected...thanks for that.

Lovely shirt but oversized and baggy - and I'm not a young skinny guy! Would buy again but down size.

For the price this is very decent quality. I have purchased a few Van Heusen shirts and they have all washed very well and been decent for the price as this is not an expensive shirt for a plus sized man.
