Installed this on my Ryobi trimmer and it fit perfectly. The replacement was straightforward, and it spins smoothly without any issues. It feels solid and works just like the original head. Definitely a good value if you need to get your trimmer back up and running.

Has been an amazing replacement for my weed eater works great

This was an exact fit to my original weedeater. Easy to install and does what it needs to do. It has worn down quicker than I would have liked just from bumping it to get more cord, so the design could be a little stouter. But still, it did what it needed to do.

Fit perfectly with my ryobi 40 v weed eater it was easy to install and of quality material and seems durable.

So far so good. The center nut provided does not fit RY40002 however the nut pops out so you can swap with your original OEM nut. The feed works and the original winder crank handle fits and works. I tested it and the line feeds out just like the original.

10X BETTER THAN THE STOCK UNIT FROM RYOBI ! I have tried 2 other replacement heads and they both were terrible so I gave up and just had to stick it out with the stock unit it came with, always having to feed manually because the spring it comes with is horrible and when it DID feed without me having to assist it, it feed too much and I would run out of weed whack wire..................until I found THIS unit. The spring inside is alot larger and larger guage and the whole housing is larger, fits more wire and seems to be more sturdy. The best thing is the feeding aspect. I no longer have to even think about it, it does it all on it's own without any help ! so happy I found this one !

Better than my 40v ryobi head trimmer. This one if your spool got tangled the cover is easy to take it off to fix the spring. The oem is a PITA to take off and put it back in. Better alternative part for my 40v ryobi. Hope it works long enough because it's made of plastic thinner than the oem.

Fit perfectly my ryobi 40v trimmer. I have the one the can be used with other attachments. Video on u tube helped in the installation. There is a hole on top of the assembly the u have to stick a skinny screwdriver and the turn it to loosen the housing. Don't forget to grease the parts before installing

I got my RY15526VNM trimmer a few years back. It's a 40V Expand-It type with carbon fiber stem. It works well but the original trimmer head was a real pain to open and load. It was a bayonet mount type which required herculean hands to grasp and twist and the filament had the bad habit of breaking on the inside which forced me to open it often. I was almost glad when it broke. I wasn't sure this one would fit but it did and not only that but it works really well. Much easier to open than the original, easier to load new line. Easier to feed and somehow the line doesn't break as often. I'm very satisfied so I totally recommend it.

This is virtually identical to the original Homelite head, it’s rated 10,000rpm all the pieces look identical except it would not thread on my trimmer. After running a m8x 1.25 tap through the nut, the trimmer head threaded on without issue and works as it should. As for the durability only time will tell but my old one wore out after one season of bump feeding it trimming 1/2 acre gravel driveway. I would still recommend as it is an ryobi brand so you can’t fault them. I just wanted to skip the hassle of contacting Homelite and all the fuss to get a simple replacement part As for the other reviews that say it fits Homelite brand not sure what to say mine did not. I guess u could always return it if it doesn’t work out

Seems well made and was easy to install (no extra hardware provided so it must fit your model, it’s not a universal fit). Fit my older model Troy bilt expandit trimmer attachment ( old model maybe 10-15 years old), my new Troy bilt models use a different diameter Echo speed400 universal worked newer model). What I am not sure of is how long it will last the plastic always wears out on the bump heads ( they all do) more a question of how quickly. At this price, get a back up.
