I should have returned it but I kept it,once you set it, does not maintain that setting you have to keep adjusting the settings.

I don't normally write reviews of products I purchase, but this system is so effective that I felt it important to offer my observations for others who might be experiencing similar chronic pain. I'm a 100% disabled veteran with chronic knee, back, and shoulder pain. I've used VA-supplied and civilian-doctor-prescribed TENS units for nearly 2 decades with varying degrees of success. With my first use of the AcuKnee wrap I received pain relief which was superior to any product I have used in the last 2 decades. The knee wrap holds the electrodes at the precise location, and with the proper polarity needed for optimal pain reduction. The accompanying manual details specific settings for the various "programs" built into the electronic module, including an invaluable graphic guide to electrode placement and polarities for application of the system electrode pads when not using the Velcro knee wrap. The specific information provided about placement, polarity, signal strength, and duration exceeds any "briefing" or "training" provided by any medical rehabilitation personnel I've encountered. I have had ongoing OA issues for sometime now and I finally reached a point where I would try anything. My left knee has already had a meniscus tear, subsequent surgery and then a 2nd surgery this past Feb/2014. After which I have been in unbearable pain and that is when I found the AcuKnee online. The website was very clear that this device was very impactful for those with mild to moderate discomfort and even though I'm in serious pain, w/complicated OA issues, I purchased the device anyway. After 30 days of use, I did feel a great deal of relief for several hours after each use--I could walk up/down stairs with out the pain. My frustrations reached a boiling point when I ran out of supplies and attempted to contact Dr. Martin Brown about this, but I had bad information and thus he never got my messages. I regrettably went online and wrote an inappropriate review and he then reached out to me offering a full refund but, he also wanted to discus my specific situation, feeling there was something wrong with the symptoms I described. I am blown away by his medical professionalism. He was not concerned or focused on what I wrote but more concerned with why my pain and OA seemed to be accelerating so rapidly. He gave me several pieces of advice, reading material and we had a good long conversation about what could be causing this and what my options are. It literally felt like I was sitting in a doctors office going through my medical history! He put me in touch with a colleague in the Pittsburgh area who specializes in this and who will be treating me in the near future. What blows me away is the time and effort Dr. Brown made with me today. By giving me his personal contact info, encouraging me to contact him, spending the amount of time he did reviewing my history and then ensuring that I was getting treatment from someone he respects... its above and beyond as far as I'm concerned. 3 separate Ortho specialists treated me since 2005 and NONE have done a fraction of what he's already done today. This device may help you esp. if your dealing with mild to severe uncomplicated OA & THEY have successfully treated thousands of people; but you won't know until you try IT, but one thing is for sure - if you have any issues whatsoever, this company and this doctor are TRUE PROFESSIONALS. Its not about sales and P&L to them - Dr. Brown continues to practice anesthesiology and pain management full time so selling these wraps is not funding a vacation home. He truly has a passion for helping people and personally I am blown away and deeply touched by his commitment. I can count on 1 hand how many other companies have reached out to me like this and tried to resolve an issue, and NONE of them went this far to help me like he has. I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AND DR. BROWN WITHOUT RESERVATION!

Still early days, I've only been using it for 2 weeks, but there has definitely been a reduction in pain.

Only using the AcuKnee for a little over 3 weeks I cannot say if I'm getting any relief yet or not. I still have pain, inflammation, and swelling after having a right knee replacement on 7/28/2015 and a manipulation to break the scar tissue so I could bend my knee on 11/18/2015. This has been a very slow healing procedure and I wanted to try the AcuKnee out of desperation. I am hoping it will speed up my progress so I can walk again without pain.

I started using AcuKnee before my trip to New York in the middle of August 2014. I used it five days before leaving and for the six days while we were there. You know if you are in New York that you walk a lot...Well we did. I had no pain in my knee and it felt very good to be able to keep up with everyone.
