Nice big hooks! I used them to hang solar café lights in a gazebo. These are 1-inch hooks (interior size of the hook), larger than the size I use to hang fairy lights inside of the interior windows. I drilled small pilot holes to get them started, then screwed them into new redwood boards by hand. They were nice & snug when they were screwed in all the way, so no stripping at the end, and very strong. Because of the vinyl coating, they should do pretty well outdoors, as long as the screw is completely covered & not exposed to the elements. The hook part was narrow enough to fit into the café light mounts that I used. No guarantee that they will fit into every café light mount (hole), but they worked for the strings that I used. The hook thickness is 1/8-inch. 25 hooks in each pack. Great versatile hooks! Secure, strong, easy to install & a nice selection of colors in primary, black & white.
