Set it up with peanuts. But the birds were not able to break and get the peanuts out.

I got this feeder to use with suet pellets. The openings are slightly small, but actually that's a good thing because birds cannot just gorge on the pellets and it makes it much more difficult for squirrels to eat the pellets. I also observe more birds that perch on the built-on perches. So far so good.I can't give 5 stars for durability until more time passes.

I like that it's easy to fill. And the birds flock to it. There's one squirrel that has learned how to fling itself from a bush to this feeder. Maybe the perches give it something to hang onto. It didn't do it with my other feeder. I am going to remove the cable but it is very strong and haven't found a way to cut it yet. Otherwise its nice and attractive.

I bought this because the squirrels kept knocking down (and breaking) my pretty ceramic bird food holders. I figured these are indestructible. So far so good but I do think this one is meant to be bolted (screws were included) to a fence or structure. I was using it on top of a table next to a bowl of water and the birds are so heavy that it falls over easily. I took off one star for that but it's not really the fault of the product. It's a solid product thus far and critters haven't been able to break it : )

It works very well. It is sturdy and it. Hangs really well.

This feeder may be ok for some seeds but we bought it specifically because we wanted to feed peanuts. The holes are too small for peanuts unfortunately.

My big grey squirrels so far have not demolished this feeder. Love it

The bird bath has only been outside for a couple of days and it has already gone rusty. It says in the description it is finished with a rust free paint, so I didn’t expect it to go rusty so quickly.
