True review…. Don’t know what people are talking about the screws being the wrong size, cause their not and fit well. Install is extremely easy, just pre-drill and you’ll never have the bit slip. Install took less than 5 minutes. The metal is sturdy. It is smaller then expected, but that’s something I like. Don’t want some giant latch as an eye sore.

Once installed properly the latch works very well. Adjusting tension on the screws requires some patience to get the latch moving properly. I chose to route out a 3” x 13/16” x 1/8 deep pocket in my door and chisel out a center slot to improve the finish and usability of the latch. At this point I feel Adding a slot under the lock plate should be required. The screws that come with this are GARBAGE! Do not even both with them. Get yourself some quality #8 pan head screws. I chose to add a third screw to my latch because there was too much play in the mechanism and a third screw made it much more stable. Lastly, we added soft close mechanisms to our doors and I feel they are a necessity if your using this latch. They align the latch perfectly every time.

This hasp was/is perfect for our needs.We are on the Maine Coast so stainless steel os appreciated. Great innovative design and works well with our screened in doors.

Latch works to secure our bathroom barn door.Needed something to lock our bathroom and this fit the bill. This easily spans the gap between the door and door jamb. And can easily be opened from the outside in an emergency, if needed

Pre-drilled my holes however that did not prevent the screws heads from stripping out. Very poor quality attachment hardware. I would not purchase again.

Purchased for barn door on main bathroom. The latch is very sturdy and looks great with other black hardware. Haven’t installed it yet since remodel is still in progress but instructions appear very straightforward.

Easy to install, but seems weak/flimsy for my barn door which isn’t very heavy or thick.
