A few years ago the seat started to tear. Not bad after 20+ years of almost daily use. I bought a replacement mesh which turned out to be a bad idea. It didn't quite fit and it wasn't made of the same stretch material as the original seat. Ok, lesson learned there. So I bought this and it was a perfect replacement. It's an entire new seat, not just the mesh. The mesh is the same stretchy material as the original. It looks identical to the original seat as far as I can tell. Replacing the seat was pretty easy. The instructions were good and it came with the tools needed. I think it took about 20 minutes and I was done. If you've made an investment in this chair, I think it's worth it to spend a little more getting this replacement seat so you have the official product. I'm writing this review 2.5 years later in Feb 2026 and the seat is still great.
