## Description

This Phenolphthalein Indicator solution is manufactured in our USA laboratory by experienced chemists using strict quality control procedures. It is commonly used with acid and base titrations as well a "neutralization" indicator for determining when excess base such as sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide is present. Our formulation does NOT contain alcohol but uses safer propylene glycol thus avoiding the flammability hazard.

I have apartment and office buildings with several Rennai tankless water heater need vinegar pumped through coils yearly to descale and keep efficient. You can buy expensive pre-colored red vinegar or for a fraction cost use this.

**Q: Can this be disposed of in a normal sink?**
A: Hahaha. The proper answer is "refer to your local and state regulations for disposal of this product." What I would do is dump it down the sink. It isnt going to harm your pipes or anything. This is such a small amount it won't screw up your local POTW either. If you had a drum, then we would have to get creative.

**Q: I’m looking for old laxatives with this ?**
A: This is NOT to be used as a laxative. It is NOT for human consumption. This phenolphthalein indicator is commonly used with acid/base titrations.

**Q: Does this item expire?**
A: No, it does not expire.  It will out last the bottle probably!  Since it is not in alcohol it will not even evaporate if you forget to put the cap back on right away.

**Q: We currently use Phenolphthalein indicator containing 42 % Isopropanol. Will this work the same ?**
A: Yes. It will work the same, but it is safer because it is not flammable.

Biopharm replaced this (free) with different formula turns red in acid and looses color as acidity is used up descaling heating coils. This product works opposite red in basic solution. Call them and get the right stuff for this application. I am a science teacher and I used this for pH testing. For those who have written reviews previously, the solution is SUPPOSED to turn pink in an alkaline. It remains clear in acids and neutrals. This product was exactly what I needed for our experiments.

I was very impressed with the quality of the product and the company's attention to detail by providing documentation on how to use it. I manufacture natural liquid hand soap and use Phenolphthalein to test for excess lye. I also liked the second bottle (which also contained Phenolphthalein) and dropper that came with it, it saved me the time and money of not having to buy a dropper. I would definitely buy this product again.
