Not quite what I was expecting
At one point, the CNPS 10X line meant "10 heatpipes"... now, that isn't literal, as they only used 5 going up the fin stack twice... but the point was clear enough. They reduced that amount, and didn't grow the size of the pipes. They did move to a direct contact though... which didn't help all that much. The heatsink is also smaller, with much less mass. I needed an AM4 heatsink, so I tested this, then I grabbed my old flex, moved the mounting hardware over to it, and got better results. Too bad they don't mention they have mounting hardware available that would work on my old 10x flex. Now, it is worth mentioning, that on it's own, and without historical context, the heatsink and fan are fine. Not great, not bad, just fine. The lights on it look cheap, and lazy. Most of that is because of the weird choice to have rainbow LED on the lid, and white on the fan. Had they just gone white, they would have been better off. That said... it's cheap, and keeps even the highest end AM4 chips cool enough. Which is all I guess we should expect at this price.

Cools very well
I've relied on Zalman for air cooling for the last 10 years and have builds still running today with their original round copper finned coolers. This newer generation gives excellent low CPU temps as well as looks good in the case.

Does what matters most
Not the easiest install on an AM3+ motherboard. Gets really cozy with the first RAM slot, bur once in it does a great job of keeping the CPU cool. The lights are a nice touch.

Great fan
I love the fan, a bit annoying to set up but keeps my pc cool. I wish I could modify the colors with a 3rd party application cause it’s all rgb no static color options that I know of.

Make it so we can add two fans or switch fans
It’s ok the only thing I didn’t like was that I had to use the fan that came with the cooler I couldn’t switch it or make it so I could add it on the back for two fans on the cpu cooler

Cools well, no RGB control
Easy to install. Looks nice in a white build. RGB is not controllable in any way, unfortunately. It's either on or off. Most importantly, this keeps my CPU nice and cool. Would like to see some RGB functionality.

Nearly impossible to install
The mounting system is OK. It bolts on directly to the backplate, so it's very sturdy. The problem is, once you figure out what you're doing (the instructions are TERRIBLE! Line drawings with no text, I scoured the internet to figure out "which side is up" on all the components), the screws are about 1 mm too short, meaning you have to apply a lot of pressure from the back, and on the heatsink, to get them to catch. The fan blocks my fourth DIMM slot, so I can only use 2 now, going from 64GB to 32GB.Temps are very stable at 36-38 degrees. This is on Ryzen 7 2700 - all stock settings. Only a few degrees warmer than with my Corsair Hydro (pump failed causing me to grab something quick and cheap). For the price, this is pretty good. I would stay away if you don't want to replace the backplate on your MB, and don't have tiny hands to get the allen key under the heatsink to screw it together.

complicated, huge for no reasons
it is horrible mounting system, they told themselves, others have had success with good mounting systems, hold my beer.they are HUGE .. they don't fit on any of my motherboards as they go over the ram and them twits at zalman didn't think about raising the heatsink over ram height.

Bad mounting hardware, otherwise ok
It was for an i5 11400 and first of all, mounting it was not straightforward, the manual was not clear about the similarities of many bits. Mounting the fan was the worst, the screw given was too thick to go into the hole on the shroud easily and that made mounting the fan very unpleasant. Will not recommend and/or buy again.
