Warm Compression for Winter Running
I wear a 7.5 in women's, so I got the men's size small. I got these for running in the winter with a lower leg injury (medial tibial stress syndrome). The socks don't let my leg jiggle around, so my shin felt better. Since the socks are thicker, they keep my lower legs warm. I have run in them (while wearing shorts) in 28-43 degree F weather, and the socks were perfect. The toes are roomy, too, which helps keep my toes from getting cold on chilly days. Also, they stay up during 5 mile runs, and no blisters. Since the material is so thick, I would expect blisters on a 10 mile run, but because I'm injured, I can't run that far anyway. I am following the washing directions, and the socks have remained snug. Yes, they are hard to get on! I don't know how an older person could get them on by his or herself, but if you want compression, they ARE going to be hard to get on. I am very happy with the purchase.

Not a full compression sock
I bought this sock to attempt to get away from the harsh medical compression nylon socks required for my type 1 diabetic neuropathy. The socks are very comfortable. The socks work great for leg swelling. They do not compress the feet. The end result was very swollen feet with a compressed leg. This resulted in a uncomfortable day.The sizing is oversized. I wear a 12.5 men's shoe. On the advise of a friend I bought a medium. That was perfect sizing for my 12/13 foot. No doubt, if do not need foot compression, just leg compression, these will be the best compression sock for comfort. If you need full foot and leg compression, these are not the ideal sock for you.

Most effective compression socks yet.
I have very swollen lower legs and feet when I sit a lot, fly, or stand a lot. I have a lot of compression knee hi socks and a pair of thigh highs. They worked pretty well in reducing the swelling, but never all the way, plus the elastic would dig into my leg at the base of my knee and leave a big groove. My toes got pulled tight too. Then, I found these socks. This brand and style and compression level are perfect in every way. They don't dig into your leg at the top, they don't pull on your toes, they are very comfortable, look sporty, and they keep all of the swelling in my legs away. I have 3 pairs now but I plan to get a few more. So glad I stumbled upon this brand and style.

Activa Sport Socks
I'm a nurse that works on the cardiac floor of a busy hospital where anytime something can turn. I wear the most comfortable footwear but I was really starting to feel the aching in my legs. When I saw these I tried them and have been delighted. Not only do they take the aching out of my legs but their firm support steadies my ankles while the padding cushions the pounding on my feet. I'm not slipping in my footwear which can throw my back out. If your a nurse, I highly suggest them. I went back to my old socks for only one night and said "never again."

Best I have found...
Love these socks! They are very durable...have had a few pairs last several years. I do the full wash and dry and have had no issues. Support is excellent and this price, $16, is about $6 cheaper than the website I used to use (compressionsale.com). Highly recommend these for everyday wear. I bought a few pair for my wife (she is a nurse and loves these!).

Race-worthy socks
Affordable socks with a decent amount of compression. I wore these as part of my costume for a Halloween half marathon and they held up well. I did go running in them a few times prior to the race to get my legs used to them. That seemed to help. It might take a few miles before your legs feel ok with them on. The first time I ran in them I had to fold them over to give my calves a break, but during the actual race they were fine. Recovery post-race was much easier this time around, too.

So happy I found these!
After spending $60/pair at the support hose shop for the well known brand, I can say these socks hold up as well as the pricier ones. I've wear these 2-3 times per week (rotating out with the pricier pair.) The more expensive socks have already started to lose their compression.I even bought a pair for my boss who is a vascular surgeon. He was impressed with the quality, having been a firm believer in the "gotta go to the sock shop" compression garments.I'll be getting more of these.

Nice socks.
I really like these socks. They are comfortable and they look good. I am a little worried about keeping them white when I can't use bleach on them. I have been washing them in the shower with a body wash. I have four pair now. I am thinking about using the washer. I'll have to see.
