The only other flashlight in this class that MAYBE has a brighter or better light beam is the Coast HP7 Focusing 360 Lumen LED Flashlight. The strobe feature works very well. Another feature enables the light to blink several times with a pause in between which may be useful for something. Many years ago I used to buy the high quality "Mag" lights which were very popular for technicians needing a dependable light but these seem to be of a higher quality far exceeding what I expected to receive. I bought a two pack and have been using for 3-1\2 years. It is still in good shape, but I think the led bulb is finally wearing out. I need more anyway so Will but the same ones again. It says a distance of 800ft. I use out in neighborhood watch, and am able to read license plates over half a block away. I have dropped it a lot, it's been thrown down the basement stairs many times by goddaughter playing Hello Neighbor and scaring herself. They are all made in China, same dimensions and functions just different names stamped on it. It is heavier than expected, which is fine. It's not cheap aluminum or plastic like the Duracell and energizer ones. Very bright. Id say they are made by the same factory. I personally use lights like these from Harbor Freig t Tools. I getvthem on sale for $10. They have a 588 lumens, look as bright as the Tac Lights I bought, but have fewer modes. I dont like having to cycle through 5 modes to return to high. Also. The lights from Harbor Freight use 4 AAAbatteries, so they last longer, and you dont have an extra battery from a 4 pack. **Q: where are they made?** A: They are made in China, as are the two other tachlights that I purchased (Atomic Beam and Bell & Howell). The brand name on the side of this item is Miuree. All three tachlights appear to be identical except for the name inscribed on the body of the tachlight. They all have the same features and comparable brightness. I loaded all three with AAA batteries out of the same package and compared the brightness and weight. They weigh a slightly different amount: the Miuree weighs 183 grams; the Atomic Beam weighs 177 grams; the Bell & Howell weighs 158 grams. In your hand the Bell & Howell is noticeably lighter. I think that the difference in the weight is due to material used to manufacture the ring around the bulb, which appears to be to focus the light. The Bell & Howell is a white material (plastic?) and the two others appear to be brass. Also, the Bell & Howell is slightly shorter (5 1/8 inches or 13 cm.) than the other two (5 3/8 inches or 13.8 cm.). I like the Miuree as well as the other two better-known brands. Will the Miuree survive the punishment advertised in the Atomic Beam commercial? I do not know. Time will tell. I hope this information is helpful. **Q: A number of reviews indicated that the two flashlights maybe different and one does not come out with a Triple-A battery insert. Very powerful. Excellent price. I gave several away as Christmas gifts. The light output and beam distance is excellent. Cons: Minor issue is the switch to change modes, if you turn it on and off quickly, it advances to the next mode. If you wait awhile, it turns on in the previous mode. A more significant issue is this being called "water resistant". A water resistant item should be able to survive a shallow drop in water to a foot or two in depth. I dipped the front tip of this in water to about 3" for less than 30 seconds and it sucked up water like a straw into the front electronics area. The LED started failing very quickly. You could see significant water behind the lens. I might concede that this is "splash resistant", but not water resistant. If you are using this in a pouring rain for any time, I think it will fail. FYI, I am a degreed mechanical engineer with extensive product design experience in commercial and military outdoor electronic equipment that is waterproof.
