Q: Will this also repel voles?

Did a quick search and it looks like there is a distinct difference between the two where the voles is more of a mouse and you can use items that repel mouse. The purpose of the Castor Oil is that the moles hate the smell, you mix it with items like dish detergent (makes it stick to the skin) and there are a few other items - pulled from a edu site. It might work, but could not find anything to support it on line.

Q: Will this repel chipmunks and woodchucks? Tried different castor oil, but it wasn't smelly--apparently smelly is good.

I use it often as directed and the moles:voles are still eating my plants. It's really discouraging. I wonder if it's because we had a very mild winter. For ground hogs I've had no luck. I read that male urine deters them as well as ammonia soaked rags, Also I've read, but not tried Crown Imperial bulbs that are supposed to repel moles, voles and gophers. Good luck

It worked in our situation. Moles no longer messing up our lawn.

Q: What us the best way to apply this to over an acre of land?

Apply with sprayer boom attached to a mobile unit, ex. an ATV or lawn tractor. Add oil n water in sprayer n spray as needed. Will have to cover all areas or moles will seek areas without castor oil. P.S. you do not have to saturate soil.
