You will need a beefy computer in order to take advantage of this, because when you connect this to your computer it shows you what your computer is doing, instead of running it directly from the headset.

This kind of cable isnt really made to charge the headset, so plugging it into a wall will charge it, but the cable’s life wont last for very long because thats not its purpose. But yeah you /can/ just plug it into the wall but thats not really what its meant for

I don't know what metals they decided to use. But, I can tell you that it is not flimsy. It's very well made. Just keep in mind one end is the standard USB type and the other is an ANGLED C-type.
