This item needs to be in your car. It has a light, a seatbelt cutter and a window breaker for emergencies. The price was incredible- wonderful seller.

So glad I bought this! Took it to a friend's junkyard and tested it on a car that was destined for the crusher. It worked great on the 1st try. The bright colors stand out and are easy to find in an emergency. It holds up well on my key ring that I carry daily for my personal keys and my work keys. These make a great gift for your loved ones to have peace of mind and hopefully never need to use.

I'll let you all know if it works if I ever need it. Not going to cut my seatbelt and shatter my window to see if it works. Otherwise five stars.

The glass punch works great, the seatbelt cutter is iffy at best

Very small. I have not being able to use it and hope I never do but it is on my key chain. It is practical and versatile. I have the bright green one. I can find it easily. The clip works perfectly. I have another emergency glass cuter but it is so big that I would have trouble getting to it. This one is compact and easy to carry. I feel protected and bought others as gift.

Although these seem minor, impact has the potential to jam seatbelts or cause a need to break your window to find safety. I keep one on my keychain in case of a "water landing" and another on my emergency medical kit in the trunk of my car. Be aware this will get confiscated at security check points if the person is paying attention because of the blade. So, leave it in your car if you're going to the court house, airport, or sporting event with x-ray scanning.

Seems like "stuff" like that only happens to other people, but that was TOO CLOSE TO HOME! When you lose power (in the newer cars) windows don't open. This might have saved her. I bought several and handed them out to my adult children for their cars. When "stuff happens" you don't want to be fumbling around in the glove compartment so these brightly colored (relatively small devices) hang from my rear view mirrors. Hopefully, I/we never have to use them, but with the increasingly crazy weather - I want to "have a way out of my car in an emergency." / And - stuff doesn't always happen under "great conditions." So I want them accessible, and ready to use in the event of an emergency. Brightly colored (does that help underwater in the dark? so put them some place readily accessible), easy to use, clever design, and will slice off your seatbelt and breakout your side window. Hope I/you never have to use it, but....

There are several options used by fire rescue available for breaking vehicle side windows for extrication. This one is light weight and can easily be added to turnout gear without adding weight. The actual punch mechanism works well, and has never failed when needed. The overall construction of the Device is plastic, so as for as long term wear and tear, not sure how long it will ultimately last. I’m sure I’ll get my moneys worth by the time it’s time to replace it.

First impressions, looked a little more robust in amazon pictures. Its recommended/ designed for key ring storage, but i would be cautious. A key wedged in seat belt cutter, sitting on it with keys attached, banged around in glove box and I'm sure you could break it. I would recommend periodic inspection. Overall I don't question its functionality whilst in good condition and without repeated use. Tested on a notebook (paper inside), puts a hole in first few sheets and the dent shows up quite deep into the pad. Also purchased the Resqhammer, the resqme fits nicely into the handle and functions whilst inserted. This provides you with 2 seat belt cutters and two ways of breaking a window.The hammer is made from a nylon plastic which is much more robust.

The tool felt sturdy but I didn't get the chance get to use it in an emergency and I hope I never will. I had one many years back, and this is the second one.
