Works Great
The glass in my convertible fell out because of the heat when it was parked on one of the record temperature days we just had. I bought the windo weld and the one step primer to repair it. To get the old adhesive off, I used a combination of a heat gun and acetone. I let the primer dry for about a day. I cut a v shape into the cartridge tip and used a caulking gun that had a 18 to 1 throw ratio. I had my grandson in the back seat pushing the glass out as i applied all of the suction cups. Once it was in place, I let it sit for 48 hours. At 24 hours it is 90% cured and it is fully cured after 2 days.I over applied the adhesive so I had some ooze out. Trimming the excess was pretty intensive so I would suggest being careful with that. This stuff is brutally hard when it cures. My top was old but it was in good shape. Most upholstery shops won't do this and want you to buy a new top.It was time consuming but if you are careful and follow the directions you can save yourself a lot of money. Now I just have to find somebody who needs all of these suction cups.

This is the adhesive to use for soft top window reattachment
If you have to reattach the back window on a convertible soft top, this is the glue to use. It is thick and super sticky. Dries as flexible rubber. You have to prime the joint first with"3M Single Step Primer, 08682, Black Color, One-Part Urethane, UV Resistant" for best results. You also need to make sure you buy the suction cup clamps. In the end, this is as good as a job as if you took it to the body shop, except they charge you $600 - $1400 to reattach the window. Great product! Only downside, is this is a one time use product. One, it expires and Two, it will dry in the opened tube quickly.

high-performance results!
Excellent adhesive for auto glass and weatherproofing! Bonds strongly, cures fast, and remains flexible. The black finish blends seamlessly, and the cartridge is easy to use with a standard caulk gun. No leaks or cracks—just a durable, long-lasting seal. Perfect for professional and DIY projects. Highly recommend for reliable, high-performance results!

This stuff really works.
Used this on my 2009 Audi A4 Convertible top glass rear window and it is holding extremely well. It has amazing sticking power, dries pretty fast.My only caution is when doing a window on a convertible top, you don't need a huge amount to do a good repair. I cut the bead line too big and I put too much material between the top and the glass window. I also used the CR Lawrence Suck and Clamps to hold down the top to the glass. So the combination of too much material and really tightening the clamps too tight, I made a mess and had a lot of material ooze out onto the glass. Also, I tightened down the clamps so tight that I must have forced some of the material up through the fabric, so that when I removed the clamps I had visible stains on the outside of the convertible top. However, my top is 9 years old, and this repair should get me another two years until I can buy a new one. Listed below are my recommendations.1. Make sure to buy the primer that goes with this and use it.2. Raise the top ever so slightly to take the pressure off it, then brace it so it doesn't drop down. I used rags under the back of the top and a cardboard box between the top and the front window.3. If you have a lot to repair, consider doing it in small steps, it's much easier that way.4. Use thin disposable gloves, have several extra on hand. If you get any material on the gloves, put on a new pair.5. Cut a small bead line, and apply a thin coat to the sealing area between the glass and the top material.6. Use the CR Laurence clamps, but don't tighten them too tight, only enough to get a good touch seal so the bonding material makes good contact. An alternative to the clamps could be one or two automotive inner tubes or pool toys, that you brace inside the car and then inflate to allow them to put pressure on the glass from inside the car.7. If any material oozes out onto the glass, loosen the clamp a little and allow the material to set up for about an hour. Then you can take the clamp(s) off and very carefully cut the xtra material using a razor blade. Be very careful not to fray the top with the razor blade. At this point the material doesn't need a lot of pressure to cut off, and light pressure on the blade will easily cut it. Re-apply the clamps.8. Starting within 30 minutes of applying the material, gradually ease the pressure off the clamps until after about 3 hours you can completely remove them.9. I let the repair set for two days before I drove the car.10. Take your time, it's not really hard to get a good repair.

Good product
Good, strong product. Make sure you have a quality caulk gun, the first one I used bent and broke because this stuff is so thick.

Amazon Fails to ship all the parts. Great product otherwise.
The product is great! 3M is a Top Notch company and I can always trust their products. Amazon, however, is not very reliable. I have ordered this product and it was received without the dispenser tip. I returned it and received a replacement. This too was without the dispenser tip. A call to 3M confirmed that the product should come with a dispenser tip. I further learned that Amazon is presenting that support should come from 3M, but 3M confirmed that they are not selling products directly to the public, which includes thru Amazon. 3M stated that they have been trying to get Amazon to stop having customers calling them for these sort of problems. Come on Amazon, get with the program! Don't take a great product and make it virtually unusable by not shipping all the parts ... twice now.

It's what the auto manufacturers use, it works great.
Used this to repair my convertible top rear glass window, to re-attach the convertible top material to the glass. Flexible and easy to apply. If you follow the instructions, it does a great job and so far is weatherproof. Just don't let it dry on your skin, it will have to wear off since no solvent will touch it after it cures.
