SAMSUNG Galaxy Fit Fitness Tracker Black Wearables

I noticed from the start when I turned on the device at first time. It was showing Chinese and I needed to use Google Translate to follow the next step. I downloaded Galaxy Wear app to sync.When it finally connected to my phone, it asked me to update Galaxy Fit and I did and/but it failed to update. (It was just showing a exclamation mark and doing nothing.) I was going to return it until I googled and found out what to do with It (spent almost half an hour.)It works for my needs so I bought this but I was sort of disappointed by all that struggling and Chinese instruction on the device.For the device quality, I would give four stars but this is not something what I expected.

As much as I would like to give this watch a good review (after all, it looks to be well made), its description (not just on Amazon, but on Samsung’s website and even the app’s info) is highly misleading in terms of phone compatibility.The device was intended to be used with an iPhone 6s. However, the official application (afaik the only one) would not connect, which seemed odd. So after reading the reviews, I noticed numerous people complaining about compatibility, and the developer replied that the oldest compatible iPhone was the 7.There was literally no information about this anywhere. The app info specified that it was not compatible with iPads and whatever but nothing regarding iPhone model. The app downloads just fine on the 6s, which I tried doing before even ordering. On the Samsung website, it only mentioned the minimum iOS version, nothing else.I find that this is extremely dishonest from Samsung to hide the compatibility information. It’s a shame, really, because it looked like a good device and the only tracker that seemed appealing. However, this experience makes me want to not recommend the Fit series. Sure, if you’re absolutely sure that it works with your device, it could be good. But that’s not the case, so I suppose I’ll never know.Buy at your own risk.

Update: I tried to install it on my new LG phone and the update of the app broke my watch. I also had issues with my motorola. Do not purchase if you do not have a samsumg/Very nice watch I love the notification feature. The watch was in Chinese at first, but that quickly changed as soon as I paired it with my phone. You can't download the user manual, but it is easy to find online if needed. Only thing is that the battery does not last as long as advertised by Samsumg. After 24 hours it's down to 49%. I think I'll get about 2 days out of it. Overall great quality watch I'm glad I decided to give it a try. Update the battery lasts 3 days which is fine with me.

Good for beginners. Overall design great . Initially it took time to use gesture mode. I had to reset twice b was fine after that.

This product did not measure distance properly. Compared its tracking to two other apps that were correct. When I returned it to the seller Canadian Outlet1 they said it wasn't their issue and I needed screenshots and to prove it. They ended up charging me a $25 return fee for a product that didn't work. I went with a Galaxy instead and it works fine. Don't waste your money with this seller.
