To show my impartiality: I am in the habit of buying gender neutral toiletries. There are two reasons for my blandness in the hygiene department. One is that I prefer practical and proven methods over what's popular and showy: I drink my liquor neat, squat ass to grass without the bar cushion, and shave with regular soap. The second reason is that simpler is often better, and in this case I am referring to the ingredients. There are many hormone disruptors in hygiene products and soap is no different, especially men's and women's products. Therefore I hesitate to buy gender specific soaps.Why I liked it: Smell- The aroma is rustic and brings you back down to earth. In the morning it wakes you up and zaps you out of the dream state by reminding you of the pleasures of life, and at night it dampens the sharp mental frequencies that a long day breeds by soothing the mind and preparing you for the primitive yet surreal world of sleep. Quality- It is made of top quality material. It suds well, lasts a long time, doesn't dry the skin too much, and doesn't "melt" or stick to the bathroom surface so long as it lays on a grill or a dry surface. ANY bar that is wet and in direct contact with a significantly large area will "melt" and stick to that surface. So if you want to maintain the integrity of the bar, place it on a dry surface or on a grilled surface. Size- It's not that big. It's the size of 2.5 regular soap bars. It's an ideal size for a generic shower hanger. Price- It's pricier than most bars out there but it's also superior. Hey, you get what you pay for.

This is a huge bar of soap, my husband cut it down into thirds to use easier. He really does love the smell of it and says it cleans better then other brands of soap.I will have to add that while my husband likes the smell of it, I’m not a fan. Personally smells like one of my great aunts who was older and smoked. My husband laughed and started reading the package more and on the side it says about “the scents of old leather mixed with fresh tobacco leaves”. So maybe that’s why it smells to me the way it does as far as smoke.All in all the company does make a really good product and my husband ordered another bar of their soap in a different scent to try out once he’s done with this one. His plan is to try each out to see what he likes the best.For the Fresh Cut Pine….my husband likes the smell of it and I agree this one smells the best so far. He is still going to try out the other scents and when he does I’ll let you know what they smell like. This one is a refreshing smell and not over powering. Can’t honestly compare it to anything like another type of soap just because it has its own smell. My husband can’t figure out what to compare it to either.

Love the scent of the different soaps offered by the company. My go to is the Sandalwood and Cedar both are great. Big bars that last a long time. Would recommend.

Bought this because the packaging was hilarious for a stocking stuffer for my husband but he absolutely loves it. Does not dry out his skin and leaves his skin soft with a wonderfully fresh manly smell. It’s a great size; takes about 2 months to use all of it so it’s a great value for the money.

Bought duke cannon instead of Dr squatch this month its double the size so lasts over a month love the smell only difference to Dr squatch is duke cannon leaves the skin a dryer and not as moisturising as Dr squatch but definitely worth a try for value of money
