will this work on a dremal saw max?

It did not fit, i had to make an adapter to make it work.

Is it good for cutting 1/4" tough steel blanks?

No problem. Very good wheels. Using for cutting 1 1/4 square tubing and flat bar. I got quite a few and they will last me a long time !
