The packet arrived open with only 7 fuses instead of 12.

This test is for these 13amp Merriway fuses. Not a manufacturer that I am familiar with, so we will check that they are safe and meet BS1362. (The British Standard for fuses). These fuses are sold as being compliant with BS1362 and are marked accordingly.First test is length. They should be 25.4mm long, +0.8/-0.4mm.As can be seen from the Photo, at 25.227mm, they are within spec. A good start.Next we will check that the ends are 'substantially flat'.As you can see in the Photo, these fuses are entirely flat, with just a small dimple where the internal fuse wire has been soldered into place.Moving on for an internal look. As can be seen in the Photo, they are filled with a containment substrate, in this case a quartz silicate sand. This will contain the 'explosion' of an overload and is a good choice.The fuse wire in these fuses is correctly sized for 13amps.On a load test it failed at 18amps, well within the range that I was expecting.The wire is correctly soldered to each end. Not just folded over and the end cap pushed on, as is the case in many non-conforming fuses.In conclusion, I'm pleased to report that these fuses do meet all requirements for BS1362 and are safe for their intended use.I hope you found this review helpful.

Standard sized fuses that do their job.Had an item of machinery at work that was blowing the 13A fuse in its plug as it started up each morning (was in an rcd protected socket with a surge protector).I got this multipack to tide us over until an engineer came out, it was next day delivery and the fuses fitted fine. The machine kept blowing the fuses but once the problem was located (a stuck blow-off valve), and the machine was fixed, then the fuses have been performed fine.A good pack quantity and as usual fast Prime delivery. I have about half the pack in the drawer in case of emergency.
