Q: What bird songs come with this?

There is a standard "card" that comes with it, but you can buy others that cover a myriad of different birds. I think there are three songbird cards. Also a nifty frog card, an owl card ... very cleverly done! Each card has a picture of the birds on it.

Q: Does the lyric supply more than one call for each bird?

There is one song per bird per card. I have never cross referenced cards with common birds. Doubt it.

Q: Is this player backward compatible with the cards for the older green identiflyer model???

No. I ran into the same problem. Just ordered the new version because my grandson loves it.

Q: Does this say the birds name out loud as well as the call? I'm looking for something like this for a blind person.

It can be set to the lyrics setting and it does speak the name of the bird.
