The One time Reviewers are Right
There are more one time reviewers here than most places I have seen for reviews. Usually that puts up a red flag to me as to how well they judge a book, their knowledge of these types of books, and frankly most of them they are friends and acquaintances of the author, posting to get them some help on the amazon review. With Kindle becoming more and more expensive one becomes more discriminating. Its a different case here because Josh is a tv star of sorts who has friends and admirers who might never have read this type of book, some, not all, because Josh is the author. I have been watching him since he first started and really enjoyed his personality although I suspect some of it pumped up for television to some degree. As an author he delivers. There is a lot of his personality in the book, and also I think, someone helped him research some of the sociological examples here. He acknowledges this to degree in the back of the book, although who is "writer" is I am not sure if its the script for the show, or this book. This book should also be listed in the "motivational" category because, boy, does it! I was so pumped up after the first few chapters I was read to go out and get a real estate license. Having been a commissioned salesperson, I have read a lot of these books, as well the think and get rich type and Josh's book straddles these categories. The A in Altman stands for ambitious, and it comes thru loud and clear. We learn how Josh started in the mail room and moved him self upward. He didn't' have the advantageous family and social contact the other Million Dollar Listing LA guys had, which makes his current success even more impressive. If you like and read these types of book, you will encounter material you have read before. The difference is many authors remain unknown to you. but with Josh, we can see him in action on the TV screen or Amazon video and it becomes more real.I do wish there had been more personal information more family interaction I would have enjoyed reading more about his relationship with Heather. .! We see some of that when Josh talks about his high school days, his motivation for joining various sports (he was sharp even in those days!) I think he wanted to make it more of a business advice book and less of an autobiography but include that in next time Josh please. Finally a very well done job by Mr. Altman but nothing less would satisfy him, would it? Also we could include the cover, in dress for success examples. That's in the book also. Josh illustrates its also about selling yourself, and that strong personality and great smile delivers!Recommended!.

Josh's Voice Comes Through in the Book
Good stuff. I enjoyed it for the positive spirit and honesty. Josh may come off as egotistical, but he also strikes me as well grounded, for which I credit his family.I think it's easy to discount what Josh and the other realtors on the TV show do, and to write it off as the product of a lucky break in getting on the show in the first place. But no way these guys would last on the show if they didn't possess some real talent.Enjoyed hearing Josh's account of heading into the original interview to get on the show. He was scared, but determined to get in there and fight. To me, this sums it all up. This took guts. He seems to have the right approach to life in general and is able to capitalize on his many good breaks. To me, this is what makes the book inspiring.Recommended reading.

Like having the star player coach see your great potential...
I shop on Amazon almost every day and rely heavily on the reviews, yet this is the first review I've ever written....this book is awesome. It's so straightforward and encouraging at the same time. It's like having the star player see something in your talent and believe in you, thus propelling you to great heights. We all have it in us, but having someone share their story in such an encouraging way is the best friend and motivator we all need at times. My style is not always the same as Josh Altman's, but I've gained confidence in my way of achieving great things through his coaching/encouragement/sharing in this book. Buy it. Read it. Highlight it. Discuss it. You will not be sorry.

b/w 2.5 to 3 stars
This is an entertaining, light, and fun read. I am not of the mindset that I am motivated externally. However, if I were, this book would be motivating! The first 12 or 13 chapters provide interesting content and take home messages, infused with colorful and applicable stories. Unfortunately, the latter chapters begin to lose their luster. The book ends with a nosedive that seems like reworded redundance, in an attempt to meet a page quota.

I really liked the book because Josh was willing to let the ...
I pre-ordered this book and finished it in two days. I really liked the book because Josh was willing to let the reader into his world and how he got to wear he is. So much of the show is about bravado and getting things done that I really appreciated hearing the insight to how things came together for him and how he got to wear he is. It is always nice when people on TV become relateable , which then becomes inspiring which then becomes empowering. I highly recommend this book for all of the above stated reasons and as a tool to find out new ways to better your own self.

Inspiring
As a fan of the show, I have admire and like the way all these agents in one of the most challenging markets operate, and I have identified with Josh Almant the most and wanted to pick his brain. Well in this book Josh has been able to provide his views in Real Estate, his tactics, his business model in a story telling type of way to give great examples of his successes as well as his failures, because you learn from both. Great book easy to read, amazing content!
