We bought one of these several years ago for my mother...she loves it. At the time, the one thing I wished it had was a tongue so it could be pulled around. This 'tractor' has just that. The basket that holds a 5 gallon bucket is an added bonus,Assembly took a while, mainly because the fastenings provided are of poor quality (I swapped them for SS). Some of the bolts were too small in diameter, and one of the main bolts was too short. Also, two people would make assembly much easier unless you have four arms/hands. The fastenings are metric, of course.Quality is about what one would expect for Chinese manufacture (poor welding, mis-aligned parts, crooked axles on the front) but this scoot was not designed to be run at high speed, so it functions just fine.One other gripe is that the tongue will drop against the seat, chipping the powder coat. A little prevention, such as several layers of electrical tape at the point of contact, should mitigate this problem.All things considered, this is a dynamite tool for the garden and the price makes it an excellent value. The problems mentioned are minor, and in no way diminish the versatility and function of this great little John Deere wannabe.I would (and probably will) purchase another one, and would recommend this Deluxe Tractor Scoot to anyone that doesn't expect German engineering from a Chinese factory.

I researched a LOT of similar products on Amazon and elsewhere, and this particular model (model, seller, etc.) seems to be the best. First, it has the rear attachment for a 5 gal bucket which is great for weeding. It also has the little tool tray underneath. The handle extends (and can stay extended, or retract in) for easy pulling and even for manuevering while on it. The color is cute! This version actually has good assembly instructions. And the color is cute! There are a lot of oddly similar little garden tractor/scooters like this one, but I am so glad i got this particular one!Only "ding" is that one of the inner tubes on the tires has a little pinhole leak. Ws patched it once but it promptly leaked again. It's currently having 2nd patch cure on it. I will ask the company if they can replace the inner tube for the one tire; will update if I remember to do so! But aside from that, I could not be happier!(And yes, the tires stink. Not a big deal.)

First, this garden scooter is really big and kind of heavy. It will not easily fit between randomly spaced garden plants without crushing something. It is well built, arrived without damage, and my husband was able to put it together in about 30 minutes without any problems. I found the countoured seat to be really uncomfortable and will be buying a seat cushion to remedy this. It is O.K. when sitting squarely on the seat and working on something (such as trimming a bush) directly in front of me. However, when I bend over to do something at ground level I tend to slide forward on the seat and the front elevated contour of the seat digs in uncomfortably. I like the basket on the back for carrying small garden tools and did buy a bucket that fits nicely inside of it. The seat is height adjustable which was a big plus for me after having knee replacement surgery in one knee and arthritis in the other. Some reviewers have said that it is impossible to steer the front wheels while seated on the garden tractor. I found that if I extend the handle away from the tractor while seated on the tractor and then redirect the wheels right or left I can change the direction without much trouble. I think this rolling seat will work well for working along the edge of my garden beds or for some of the trimming and planting I do. I will probably still use my old stationary garden bench for inside my gardens just so I don't roll over something.

I purchased this for my elderly mother as a Christmas gift. It was packaged very well and all the pieces were in the box. It took about 30 minutes to assemble. I actually ended up with two of them and after I put the first one together my wife was scooting herself around the house and said she would like to have one, so I gave her the second one as a Christmas gift too. It seems to be very well built. The handle extends so it tows around easy like a wagon, the swivel seat has quite a bit of height adjustment and with the tray and basket it has plenty of storage. It doesn't steer very well if you are sitting on it and want to scoot yourself in a direction other than a straight line, but I don't think it was designed to do that... just get off of it an tow it to the next spot. Not a big deal. My mother says she has been "practicing" in the house with hers too and seems to be excited to be able to use it. It won't see any real use until next summer, so if there are any quality issues later I will update this review.

Bought this for my husband, who has mobility issues, and he loves it. I love it too, when I can steal it from him. Actually scooting around on it will depend on your land, so we have mixed results with that but as we improve our garden space, it gets better and better. Love the ability to plop a bucket in the ring and harvest or load up some tools for an outdoor project (he uses this for more than gardening). We are looking forward to using it when washing the car too. It’s sturdy and solid and feels safe. The seat is comfortable, even with back pain issues. We just love this thing so far and are happy we chose this one over some others that have a lower weight limit. It’s worth a few extra bucks to get this one. I can tell it will last for years. You won’t be disappointed!

I am giving this 5 stars because in the end, I LOVE THIS THING! Added a beverage holder and it is now perfect. As per other reviews... the tires had a very strong chemical odor, but we left it outside a few days and it's fine now. Did not come with all the bolts it needed, have already lost one in the steering handle, and the ones that are on there are now rusted from being outside. The seat is comfortable, the steering handle makes it easy to get up from a seated position, and the basket is really handy. Now, if it only had a battery motor... :)
