I actually bought it for my original 1970 Kamado and it needed some modifications but works great. Way better than the original insert made of ceramic. I can adjust the airflow now

Easy to install. Takes 2 minutes.

Sturdier product than original mesh grid, tough to install
The product is good quality and should last longer than the original mesh door. Installation is challenging though. The bolts are on the inside of the BGE, and requires lifting up the firebox. The firebox is pretty heavy and does not have anything to hold. I can't find any tool to grip the firebox either.
