This is what I do....before it's mixed it has about half a cup of oil on top. I pour off about half of that, then mix it. It's a little gritty, but it reduces the calories by at least half. Am I throwing away nutrient value, except fat?

Pouring off the Oil leaves the top half of the jar still very creamy I pour the Oil into another Jar and if the bottom part of the jar is a little too dry for sandwiches... i just add a little oil back in from the saved jar. most of the time the adding oil isn't needed.

is it made from valencia peanuts?

Hi John! In our Natural Creamy Peanut Butter we use a Runner variety of peanuts. We hope this helps and that you enjoy the peanut butter!

Are the peanuts USA grown?

Great question! We source our peanuts from the southern United States, including Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Texas, and Mississippi. We hope this helps!

I am assuming this does not need to be refrigerated once opened?

It’s always best to refrigerate peanut butter of any kind to keep it fresh
