Bright Bulbs - Nice Flashing Effect
I can't rate this LED bulb on longevity because I haven't had it very long. Maybe a year from now I can, but I honestly expect to last several years, not just one. As for ease of installation, well that is more a reflection on the vehicle manufacturer than it is the bulb manufacturer. Remove 4 phillips head screws, remove the third brake light lense cover, and there's you bulb. Pop out the old, pop in the new, and put it all back together again. The bulb is much brighter than a conventional bulb, and requires less power to do so. I also like the flashing effect. It flashes a few times then goes to solid and stays solid until you release the brakes. Once you apply the brakes again, the process repeats. The whole reason third brake lights came into existence was to get drivers attention, and alert them you were slowing down or stopping. Now that they have been out 20-30 years, drivers are getting complacent again. This light flashing brightly a few times before going solid red helps get their attention again. I don't want anybody hitting me from the rear, or any direction for that matter. I think these bulbs are a great safety addition to my truck. If it helps prevent one accident, then it was worth the price...and I might add that these two packs of bulbs were pretty cheap to begin with. I hear they are illegal in some states, so you might want to check your local laws before you buy if you want. Me personally I don't care if they are legal or illegal... I am using them anyway. if some cop decides to write me a ticket for having them installed...well I'll take it, but they will remain. I like these bulbs and they serve a good purpose.

Awesome Upgrade 😃
After using Sylvania Long Life OEM bulbs for a few years, I decided to convert to LED, and this light turned out to be amazing!Trial and error with other LED bulbs, this one is running great 1 year later. My wife chose the strobe option, so I ordered and installed.Very bright light output day or night, easy installation, major drop in operating temperature, and no performance issues.Fits perfectly in my 2003 Town & Country Chrysler minivan, with no resistor or additional hardware needed. Plug n play. Love the attention getting strobe blink. Highly recommend!!

Nice quality and Bright.
These brake bulbs are BRIGHT. I love the 3 flashes before steady on. Anything to help against these distracted drivers these days. Bulbs seem to be made with quality. No conflict with electric system.

Great quality, but I am doubting the wisdom of using it
The flashing red brake light has been working perfectly in a 2015 Honda Odyssey center brake light for 1.5 years for me. The OEM bulb was on the dim side, but this one is nice and bright and very attention-grabbing. I believe the brief flash makes driving safer and will reduce accidents. 5 star product based on that. But I am deducting a star for the reasons below.I have had doubts about the legality of the flashing feature. My research has turned up some mixed results including that they are not federally legal for car manufacturers or dealerships to install in the US market. The reason is that they do not conform to the vehicle lighting guidelines mandated for all new cars sold in the US. Aftermarket modification by the vehicle owner is not federally illegal, therefore may be legal based on state law and vehicle type (e.g. motorcycles in Oregon). In my state of NC, I can't find any good citation showing they are legal (or illegal). But even if they were legal in a given state, what about driving to other states? Am I going to research each state and change the bulb as necessary? What if a police officer sees the light and, believing it is illegal, decides to pull me over and cite me for it (and of course ask a bunch of questions and look into my car, etc.). A ticket is not that big of a deal and might be dismissed in court, but who needs the hassle plus the risk of other infractions possibly being discovered?Furthermore, what if I were involved in an accident? Could the other party's attorney argue that my use of a modified, non-standard signal caused confusion/distraction and contributed to causing the accident? Could my insurance company use the same argument to deny coverage? I don't want to lose my house over a brake light modification.Despite this being a good product and a good safety improvement, I have decided to remove this from my vehicle and replace it with their non-flashing version. Hopefully the federal vehicle standards will be updated and I can use this again in the future.
