World class customer support, outstanding performance
This is a superior product that offers phenomenal customer support for any and all issues if they arise. I hope this review will reveal useful info about real-life performance by this impressive device and the company that stands behind it. I was able to set it up for my own use pretty easily with only one question. I emailed support and received practically an instant response. If it was a chatbot, it provided a surprisingly helpful, no-nonsense easy to understand reply to exactly what I'd asked about! Zero phony how-are-yous and deflection. Imagine that!) The speakerphone's clarity was remarkable, and picked up voices coming from even further away than the specs suggest. Because of such impressive performance, I experimented with using it for a purpose it's not actually designed for. I hoped it's range and clarity would improve comprehension during meetings and discussions with significantly hearing-impaired people. Obviously this offbeat idea resulted in rather idiosyncratic questions about uncommon issues such as connectivity to individuals' hearing aids, using iPhones as intermediate devices, adding additional Anker speakerphones for larger groups, etc. I don't believe even a top of the line chatbot could have understood my questions or been able to sort out the complicated connections that had to be made. I received an immediate confirmation that my inquiry had been received, and in less than a half hour -- that's not a typo -- I received an impressively clear, comprehensive response to ALL aspects of my unique intended use, and offered a suggestion that hadn't occurred to me. They went so far above and beyond to correctly unravel complex questions and respond quickly, thoroughly and creatively. If you're looking for a high performance microphone/speakerphone with best-in-class customer support, you've found it. I hope this helps, and THANK YOU ANKER!!!!

Excellent conferencing speaker/microphone. Would buy again and again when needed!
Bought 2 of these for our conference rooms and they work way better than we thought they would. Battery life is great, sound quality is superb, and the microphones do a great job of capturing the intended sounds without any background noise. Their portability make them fabulous for our needs. Very good product and we could not be happier with the purchase.

A nice piece of tech with great sound that won't make you go broke
We are using this with a Smartboard with Zoom and Google Meet, and it's great. You plug the wireless dongle into a USB port, press the power button for 3 seconds, and our Nearhub saw it instantly, paired and made it the default speaker and Mic. This solves a huge acoustic problem for us in big echo prone rooms. It's also a great value for the money, the sound and the ease of use outpace versions we have use that cost 5x. Easy to set up, simple and clear controls, and options for connectivity, though the wireless dongle is a no brainer. Works with Smartboards, Macs and PCs

Clear Sound and Great Mic — Perfect for Daily Use
I use this speakerphone every day at work, and it’s been a huge help for conference calls. The sound quality is excellent — clear and natural — and my coworkers always tell me that I come through loud and clear on their end. The microphones are very sensitive (which is great for meetings), but I’ve learned to be careful when stepping out of the room since it can still pick up my voice from a distance! The only minor issue I’ve noticed is that it occasionally loses connection, and I have to restart it. I’m not sure if that’s the speaker or just a quirk with Teams, but it doesn’t happen often enough to be a dealbreaker. Overall, it’s a reliable, high-quality conference speaker that makes daily meetings a lot smoother.

Great small office speakerphone.
Great small office speakerphone. The noise cancellation is amazing , connects via the dongle easily and is a very good value for the tech inside. I use it on all phone calls and Zoom calls. I am told that my voice quality is perfect and that they can't tell I have them on a speaker. It has been a great addition and I wish I purchased it sooner.

Anker S500 - Amazing
I purchased the Anker S500 to use at work, and it paired up almost automatically and the sound quality and build quality is very solid. A little disclaimer about me: I typically like name brands (Jabra, Bose, etc.), and I have always thought of Anker as an "Amazon"-type brand, but - I decided to go with this one because a team member has the same one and he swears buy it. Other people within my team have various portable conference room speaker/mic devices (Jabra, etc.) and hands-down, the S500 is a superior product. 80% of the time, my laptop is glued to my desk with dual 24" monitors and I use a bluetooth headset, but 20% of the time - I need to work remote and have TEAMS meetings with other people where we need conference room mic/speaker capabilities and up to this point, I have been using the built-in technology of my Dell Latitude (standard corporate issued) setup .. but, the new Anker S500 is loud and the microphone picks up voices while cutting out unwanted background noises (like dogs barking, overhead announcements, etc.). There are many other cheaper choices (and they may be equally as good), but if your budget can afford it, I would recommend the Anker S500. You will not be disappointed at the overall quality (you get what you pay for with this device.)

FIRE HAZARD - DO NOT BUY!!!
Purchased in April of 2024 from Amazon for office use. It worked great for over a year. Then one morning in September of 2025 we opened up the office to a burnt electronics smell. We hunted the smell down to the conference room and it was this thing that had apparently caught itself on fire and burnt up overnight right there on the conference room table. It damaged the nearby phone while it was in the process. We are VERY lucky it didn't burn our entire office to the ground. After giving us the run-around since we couldn't read the serial number (hard to read after it melted into a smoldering husk, right?) Anker finally offered to replace the unit and give us $800 for our pain, but that offer came with a required non-disclosure agreement that would have kept us from telling any other consumers about the fire hazard. So they can keep their $800 and I'll just leave this review instead as a public service. As it turns out, the previous model (a3302) was recalled for a very similar "might spontaneously burn your office down" problem. Go figure. Please don't buy this product.

Decent individual units, but the point is pairing them
The page and sales pitch says a lot about being able to link multiple units to cover a larger room. Only after purchasing it did I find via the support forums that if you want to use the wireless link between units, one of them HAS to be connected via USB-C to a PC and WILL NOT work when they are linked via Bluetooth. This defeats the purpose of wireless speakers. As individual units, they are solid. However since the sales pitch is about the ability to link multiple units, you'd probably be better off with the considerably cheaper PowerConf S3 instead.

A genuine game-changer for the serious home-based media executive.
Let me be clear. This isn't just a speakerphone. It's a communications hub. A veritable nexus of audio clarity for the discerning professional who operates, as I do, from a state-of-the-art home office setup (it’s the spare bedroom, but the desk is solid pine). For too long, my conference calls for Pear Tree Productions have been… compromised. Huddled over a smartphone on loudspeaker, sounding like a baffled rambler reporting a lost map in a high wind. The acoustics in my study-cum-home-gym are, suffice to say, challenging. Then this arrived. The Anker PowerConf S500. Even the box felt premium. The unit itself has a reassuring heft, not dissimilar to a quality cheeseboard. The buttons are tactile. A joy to depress. I christened it with a crucial pre-production Zoom with my team regarding a new concept ('Alan Partridge: Norfolk's Hidden Hedges'). The audio quality was simply staggering. Lynn, my assistant, was coming through with such fidelity I could practically hear her flicking through a copy of the Daily Mail in the background. My own voice, of course, was captured in its full, resonant glory from every angle thanks to the 360-degree pickup. No more leaning in. I could pace, I could gesticulate, I could command the room. And it is, of course, certified for Zoom and Google Meet. That's the key. Not just 'works with'. Certified. It's the seal of approval from the digital top brass. It says, 'Alan Partridge is not a man to be trifled with on a video call'. It says, 'His audio is robust and business-ready'. In short, if you're looking to elevate your conference calls from amateur-hour to bona fide boardroom, look no further. This is a top-tier piece of kit that has revolutionised my workflow. A five-star product for a five-star broadcaster. Back of the net.

Bang for the buck
Amazing product, really simple to set up. The only downside I can think of is that the software it recommends you use does not really connect with the speaker. But the speaker and it's microphones are absolutely amazing and I highly recommend this product
