You get what you pay for
Bought this in 2022 for really cheap (like 90 bucks or something when most 850w PSUs ran closer to 200), so was thrilled at how cheap this was and thought i was getting a steal. Here we are in Feb 2023, though, and my games are crashing to desktop because the GPU isn't getting enough power from the PSU, so i need to replace it. Lasted for about a year with no issues, but seems to be dying out after about a year. PSUs are typically supposed to last for like 6-8 years depending on usage, yes? I'm not overclocking any components and 850w should be good for the rig i have.Rtx 3080tiASRock z790 moboIntel i9-13900Again, good for a short-term replacement, but i wouldn't expect it to last long based on my experience.Edit 4/1/2023: bumping star rating up to a 5 from a 3. Upon further investigation, it looks like my components needed more than an 850W PSU, so if that's the case, this did the job.

Why would you ever buy a different power supply
I’ve built hundreds of gaming PCs over the years and about a year ago started using these. They are less expensive than other well-known brands and perform just as well. These have a 10 year manufacturer warranty. I’ve never had an issue and never had a customer come back and tell me they had an issue. I will only ever buy these supplies

READ THIS!!!
Was having crashing issues when putting a load on my 3080 card it would restart my system. Took nearly 10 days of researching and panic thinking it was the gpu taking a crap. Replaced cpu aio thinking it was a heat issue it wasnt. PSU is the place to start if your having the same issue as mentioned. Theres very little info out there on this, so hopefully this will help somebody less seasoned on working on their pc. Replaced PSU with the 850 version and havent crashed/restarted in 24 hours of testing so im ok with saying that was the problem all along.

Better than the original. Easy to install.
I had some power supply issues and decided to replace. I was looking for a 700watt to replace what I had but decided on this one. I was going to go with the same brand but the reviews for its newest model were terrible. I spent a little more money to purchase this one. It was easy to install and I had never done one before...........So far this is working like a champ.

10 Year Warranty EDIT: contacted support for warranty
I found this for like 40% off, got it for 60 bucks. Has a 10-year warranty and when I looked up on 80 plus certification website its efficiency at 100 was higher than many other brands. Very quiet, modular design, build quality looks top notch. I would recommend highly if you found it to be a better deal than the brand you would otherwise buy.Edit: I used this psu for around 3 weeks, I bought it as I was preparing for a motherboard and psu upgrade. At 70 bucks for 850w 10 year warranty it was worth a try. I upgraded and for about a day everything seemed smooth (b360m mb + i5 8400 to z490 10700k) this psu should have handled the new components easily as I was around 350w above the wattage of the components. After the first day I turned it on left the room while pc booted came back and there’s zero power. Press the power button nothing. I started troubleshooting, that trouble shooting lasted weeks as I was waiting for parts/cash to buy and try new components. I got down to finally caving and buying reputable psu. bam upgrades turn right on and post. For the life of me I could not get this psu to post with a z490 z590 10700k or 11700k. Not sure what happened but this just doesn’t seem to have the juice to power higher end components. Just for laughs still having old 8400 and motherboard I bread order it with this psu. posted and booted like normal. This psu has a 850w gold rating but in reality it seems like it’s more of a 500w bronze. Do not power a mid to high end set up with this product it will no give consistent clean power and end up with a system that will not post. buyer beware. for a low end rig, or second pc to handle streaming, etc. I had high hopes due to working fine in pc before the upgrades. I ended up buying a super flower 750w psu (still 250w above needed watts) and pc booted perfectly.

Great RMA Process
Overall PSU works well. First unit became faulty within a year. After some back and forth with the support team I shared the windows failure logs to show the failures were unexpected shutdowns due to power faults and not driver errors and they promptly sent out a new unit. New unit is working great and if I don't follow up then you can assume it has continued to perform well.

Do not install fan down!!
The media could not be loaded. This psu worked great for about a day, then the psu surged and died after three games. The new one came it and I installed it tan up and it works great! Highly recommend

Perfect replacement for a failed power supply
Bought this power supply to replace a Thermaltake power supply unit that failed - it had stopped working after having the computer freeze up a few times before the old PSU died. This new PSU arrived June 22, 2024 and I installed in my desktop computer. Started it up - it works perfectly, no more computer freezre-ups. Recommend this PSU for a new build or a replacement or upgrade for your existing system.

Lose cable not psu gave me heart attack
Thank you so much for the pamphlets. They greatly improved the installation process as I removed my old psu without memorizing which components were connected and to what. I must not have plugged in the 24 pin connector because when I turned the pc on it would restart every 3 seconds but after only pressing down on the 24 pin connector, everything was perfect. Noise is not unbearable as most of my pcs noise usually comes from fans or the random rattling of unknown parts. I was over powering a 450W 6 year old psu so it was way past the time to upgrade. Lastly, thank you for making the psu affordable. $100 for 850W? Good deal! Sucks for people without graphics cards though!

Bien cordialement. Christophe

Will not honour their warranty
This unit failed recently. I wrote to the manufacturer for warranty replacement or repair. They had me jumping through hoops and requested a video of the unit with the testing connector (comes with the unit) in place. I did that and tried to send it only to find that there is a tiny limit on the size of the video allowed. They then had me make a YouTube Video of the test and send then the link. Then they said the link was cancelled by Amazon so they did nothing.

Great budget buy!
Honestly this power supply is a super good purchase for someone who doesn't care about "name brands". Serves the exact purchase as the big boys and works just as well. Super quiet. Easy install. Nothing but good things to say about it.
