Renegade Game Studios Planet Defenders Basic Board Game

Great little game! There is much more to this than at first meets the eye. This game has some serious strategy and quite a bit to think about. The rules themselves are straight forward. The pieces are nicely made and are consistent the level of quality that I have come to associate with Renegade games.There is quite a bit of replay-ability with this game because there are numerous variables. First of all, the board itself is constructed by placing cardboard tiles. Next, the robots that are "collected" are also cards that are shuffled and then placed around the board. Due to the nature of the rules, these two elements change the strategies required. Additionally, the pieces that can be moved are governed by a set of cards that are constantly in a state of flux. All of these things create unique play situations .My game group found this to be a nice little game that was light on rules, but surprisingly heavy on strategy. I love almost everything that Renegade puts out.

Fun little game. My 5 yeal old can play it competitively, but still enough strategy for adult gamers. Not something that will hit the table daily, but I have no plans on it leaving my collection (currently 400 or so games).The mini's are nice too. I painted one and washed the others. Giving them a wash allows the dark paint to get in the cracks and brings out the details without much effort and makes the mini's pop out more.You can't do much better for $22.

Fun game, easy to learn and fun to play.
