Hurricane Supreme Oscillating Wall Fan, 3 Speeds, White - 16in

I’ve had this fan for a while now, and honestly, it’s been a beast. The airflow is strong, even on the lower settings, and it does a great job cooling down a room, garage, or workshop without sounding like a jet engine getting ready for takeoff. The oscillation covers a wide area, which is nice when you don’t want one side of your body freezing while the other side is sweating like you’re mowing grass in July. The wall mount design is a huge plus because it keeps the fan out of the way and saves floor space. Installation was pretty straightforward, and the pull cord controls are simple and old-school in the best way possible. No annoying touch screens or fancy nonsense that breaks after six months. The build quality feels solid for the price, and it’s definitely stronger than those cheap box fans that start rattling like a shopping cart with a bad wheel. It moves a lot of air and works great in hot rooms, garages, greenhouses, or even a home gym. Only small downside is that on the highest speed it’s not completely silent, but honestly, that’s expected with a fan pushing this much air. It’s more of a steady hum than an irritating noise. Overall, this is a really solid fan and absolutely worth the money if you need strong airflow and want something reliable that actually cools a room down.

So I'm writing this review early to inform anyone who had been searching fan after fan as I have for awhile now. Normally I wait about a month to write a review to get good usage out of an item but it's only been a few days since for this Hurricane fan. I recently purchased a small Vornado that claimed 50 ft for less than $40 and thought perfect just what I need. Nope. Other than the highest setting every setting below that is very weak, Laughably so. The lowest doesn't seem to really do anything. The high is okay but 50 ft is more like 5-10ft. This Hurricane 16" fan was cheaper than its"12 fan for some reason and a few dollars cheaper than the Vornado and the quality is a night and day difference. It feels as if the lowest setting on this fan is faster than the Vornado highest setting. (Vornado Duo Small tower). I did read reviews that say the taller tower is better but I didn't wanna spend double the price. I'm so happy I bought this 16 inch fan that I purchased another yesterday because I couldn't believe how much air it pushed out. It was pushing more than my Honeywells which I have quite a few different ones from the table top, air movers (Vornado competitors) and large stand. I had a box that fit the fan perfectly so I didn't hang it and it would stay straight so that I could use it next to the portable AC to push air across a room. Again, made a night and day difference compared to every fan I had and mentioned. I bought this specific one because the CFM was higher than Hurricanes other fans (with stands) and many other fans I looked at in general. I was looking for power more than actual convenience or care for noise level as it is hot in the Deep South. On a side note, this fan is very heavy and the instructions basically show one picture of how to put it together but it must've taken me a minute or two to do it. It's pretty easy and a bit of common sense once you look at it, it's the heaviness that may be more of an issue which is why I was glad I happened to have a box that was capable of actually holding it without moving. I didn't need the Oscillating feature for the first one, just a straight shot. And as I said fan noise wasn't a concern as long as it pushed air and this fan, at least for me wasn't that loud. It's as loud as you might think a strong fan would be but since it's across the room and I have many other fans plus the portable AC it's not an issue whatsoever. I can't recommend this fan enough, if it's power you're after and at an amazing price then this is it. Highly recommended!

After receiving my replacement fan in ONE day, I am changing my review to a FOUR. This is a very good fan. Throws lots of air. Is very flexible. However, as an older man who has fixed a lot of things, there is a design flaw. The two switches are controlled by two, too long, thin, strings. When I used the strings on the first fan, by the time I pulled the strings down, that weren't strong enough to pull the one switch on. So I thought it was bad. Soooooooo, I doubled-up the strings so they were only four inches long. Then the string was strong enough and short enough to pull the switches. ADVISE. Use the knob above the strings to turn on fan and adjust speed. Set fan to SWING or FIXED using string at a short length. Then don't touch the strings.

Since I don't like air conditioning I really rely on fans in the summer. This fan is amazing! I really didn't expect it to be considering the price but it really surprised me. I put it in my living room in a spot where you can't notice it and it has really worked unbelievably. I was getting tired of floor standing fans. Worked so well I put one in my kitchen and it works so much better then a ceiling fan. Definitely will be buying another. Agree with another reviewer about it saying Hurricane on the front but a minor thing considering the quality.

I now have 3 of these in my garage. They move air very well, they are quiet and the oscillating is smooth. I like the pull strings for speed selection and to turn oscillation on and off. Great value for price paid. Suggesting the 16" vs the 12" if it will fit in your space.

I only gave this a three star rating because it’s easy to hang, on low it has great wind. When the box arrived it was covered in dust, ripped but the fan itself is fine. It does not move around the room it is stuck in one position! They put the blade cap on SO tight I had a hard time getting it off remember to turn it clockwise and you may have to use needle nose, pliers to hold the metal bar as you’re turning it that was not easy to get off put the two rings in the box in a bag, not impressed whatsoever it is noise level of a fan. No remote control! There’s a better fan by a different company spend extra money and get it not this one!!! I bought this one because it was on sale. Don’t make that mistake. I am going to write to the company also and I’m going to be returning this if it’s not gonna work properly for me and I do not like it I am not going to keep it. Do not waste your money. Find a better one unless you have better luck with yours and you can get yours to move. It is very easy to hang. It has good wind, speed or breeze, but that’s about it like I said, I can’t get mine to move.

Love this fan! It’s very powerful, even on low speed. It is a bit loud but that doesn’t really bother me. However, if you don’t like a loud fan this probably isn’t the one for you!

Installation was super easy. I had wood to mount it too but I suspect you’d need to make sure it’s very secure to something weaker like bare drywall with the supplied wall plugs. My only initial negative comment would be that it’s quite noisy. Especially on high speed. Also the pull cords seem a little flimsy and seem like it won’t be long before they snap. Works well tho!
