I'm looking for a phone for my dad who's 80 and doesn't hear too well. I was hoping this phone would suit him but I'm afraid I will have to send it back.Why:1) The ring is quite loud, too loud for me but I still doubt my dad would hear it over TV or if it's in another room;2) In the description it says that this phone supports multiple languages: "multiple languages like English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, etc." Well, where's the etc. part then??????? There are only these 5 languages listed and none other. Basically lies from either the manufacturer or seller, whoever decided to put that "etc" at the end. And I do need another language.3) either I'm very stupid or what but I can't manage to lock the buttons so that my dad would not accidently call someone while the phone is in his pocket. I probably would manage to lock them if not for No.4 of my complaints, namely4) The manual is in OK-ish English but very short and not sufficient. It tells you what is available on the phone but does not always give exact instructions how to do it. Like it does tell me it's possible to lock keypad but how??? I do see the star button with padlock sign on it but tried it this way and that way, I still get no further that a star appearing on the screen. Tried to combine with few other buttons, still no luck.The good things:1) I like how big the buttons are and that they are properly separate not like on some phones where you'd have to press on the top or bottom edge of a button for different functions. I can see it would be easy for my dad with his big fingers to press the button he wants with no issues.2) the phone itself is the perfect size for and old man's paw :) Maybe a bit too glossy, I was already thinking about adding some slid preventing tape or something. Won't do it now of course since have decided to return the phone.3) Menu is quite simple. Again a big advantage to some phones that I've seen where you have to go through a 4 or 5 step motion just to make a simple phone call even if it's the last person you've spoken to. This one does not have that problem and it would be easy for my dad to call the very few people he usually is in contact with. Also easy to find received texts and to reply to them if needed.Conclusion: Oooooh so very close to be the right one, yet the few things I listed are proper deal breakers for us. But probably unlike us you are not bothered by the 4 bad things I listed above then go ahead. I do kind of like this phone, maybe you will too. Not my dad though, I can see this isn't for him.

I feel safe with this phone as I carry all the time....With the emergency system & easy to contact family if required any time anywhere.… With the alarm sound as a audible warning makes this phone is a must have ........

I bought this for an elderly lady in a care home to use. She’s never had a mobile phone, and doesn’t know what texting is. After charging the battery and putting a pay as you go SIM card in. I spent ages going through menus setting things up, mainly turning features off. She just wants a phone that rings if someone calls and she can dial to make a call. She does not understand ‘contacts’ and menus. If only it could be made to be like an old fashioned telephone.It wasn’t long before a spam text arrived, and I know she would not have a clue what it was or what to do. I thought, ahh I’ll get the phone company to disable texting, since the phone has no such facility. Then I found out that No, you cannot disable receiving texts. I can foresee no end of problems because of this. I haven’t given it to her yet so it would be unfair to comment further but I am wondering if I could have bought something simpler.

My papa is 82 and as family we always wanted him to have a phone when he likes to walk his dog. He likes to chat away to people so can sometimes take longer and we worry. He has had smart phones but just couldn't work them. I bought this phone for him and I must say. Its perfect for him. It can be made extra load which is fab for his hearing, had vibration mode also. It come with a tie which can be worn around the next and my papa loves thst the most. He always remembers it before leaving the house, As he got use to having it around his neck and I think he also thinks is a fashion statement now haha. All in all this phone was the perfect buy and made such a difference. Thank you!

So pleased with this phone, bought it for my husband who has dementia and because its basic its ideal for him, the keypad is a good size and the layout is easy for him to cope with, and the sos button is fab!

Cannot use it with my computer. However will keep it for emergency use. Price is excellent.
