High quality kit with soft close rollers. Much better than the cheap one down at the hardware store. 10/10 will use again.

I purchased 2 of these pocket door frames. One was complete but the other one, as others have noted, came without some parts. I contacted the seller and their solution was for me to contact Johnson Hardware and if there was any cost, they would reimburse me. Johnson Hardware was great - they quickly sent out the pieces without cost. However, in my opinion, it should have been the seller doing the leg work, not me.Beyond that, the frame was easy to install, the rollers are smooth, the soft-close works great. I would not hesitate to use this frame again; however, next time I will buy it direct from Johnson Hardware!

This works great! I'm not the best carpenter so when I read the warnings about making sure everything is plumb and level I was a little worried that the door would self close or open but with a little diligence during the framing everything works like it's supposed to. There is a little flex in the steel studs next to the doors, but that's to be expected with a pocket door. This is installed into a new wall enclosing a previously open room that is too small to accommodate a swing door. My daughter (it's going to be her room) especially likes the soft close/open function.

This is equally a complaint concerning Johnson Hardware's packaging, as well as the seller Hearthshire's handling of two unsuccessful order fulfillments.I ordered this item as I know from previous use that it's a good product.But the packaging is terrible for shipping. The end tabs tear and open way too easily, causing it to lose small parts whilst in transit.My first order was over two weeks past due, and the torn ends were poorly taped as an ineffective fix.While waiting for the first order to possibly arrive, I ordered another unit, thinking I surely wouldn't have the same problem twice. I soon got a notice that this second unit was deemed "Undeliverable" and was returned to Hearthshire.I finally did receive my first order in the aforementioned poor packaging condition.With many missing parts, I resealed it and returned it.Not only did I not get a full refund (Hearthshire had the audacity of charging a "Return Fees" charge) but they also refused to cover any part of the nearly $100 return shipment.ORDER AT YOUR OWN RISK.I ended up buying this from another vendor, as there were no sellers of this unit within a three hour drive.That package had it's challenges as well but made it.Takeaway: Johnson has poor packaging for this product, and Hearthshire doesn't work the consumer when their shipper does a poor job handling such packaging (and charge an extra $48 return fee to boot).

If you need quality in a pocket door install. This is the best I’ve found. The slow close feature is also perfect. I don’t use anything else in my projects. Yes, it costs more then the basic, but it is worth the investment for a long lasting door assembly.
