Progresso Spicy Jambalaya is Delicious and has a Good Kick
This review is for "Progresso Spicy Jambalaya Soup With Sausage & Ham, 18.5 oz Can (Pack of 12)", ASIN B095D9VF36.I find this soup absolutely delicious. It's currently my favorite canned soup. A typical lunch for me is a can of this soup with sandwich and a Honeycrisp apple. I would say it's more of a soup than a Jambalaya.I was extremely disappointed when this soup was discontinued at my local W**MART. I checked Amazon and found that the cost was on par with the W**MART price, so immediately ordered a case. The case arrived quickly, no cans were damaged, and every can was fresh and delicious. A few weeks later I came back to Amazon to buy another case only to find that the price had increased by about 60%. Yikes! I then searched all of my local options and eventually located the Spicy Jambalaya in one grocery store. I cleaned out the shelf (16 cans) and I haven't quite finished these yet nor have I been back to see if the grocery store restocked them.Is the soup spicy hot? That's always a difficult question for me to answer because I genuinely AM a chilihead. It certainly does have a kick, and it's more than I would have expected from a canned soup sold in a grocery store. It's enough that I don't feel the need to add in some additional hot sauce. But is it "insanely hot", "too hot", "soup from hell", etc? No way. If you think Tabasco, Sriracha, Cholula, Tapatio, etc. are hot then sure, this soup is too much for you. I'd say the heat level is about what I'd expect if someone were to take a non-spicy soup and add a good dose of their favorite Habanero-based or 6k-8K Scoville hot sauce. Think Scorned Woman, El Yucateo Red, Tabasco Habanero. It's nowhere near the range of sauces containing pepper extract such as those produced by Blair's or Dave's.

Spoiled and bad SOUP
I have bought cases of the soup before, very tasty creamy and easy on the stomach and delicious however just bought another case and soup packaging was different it says: hearty and rich opened up a can it smelled and was bad had to throw out the rest. Tried to call Progresso, that was a bomb they didn't care. Sad.

Not worth the new price increase
I just purchased this three weeks ago and already the price increased $13.00. Definitely not worth the new price, especially when cans arrive damaged.. I will switch back to my favorite brand that is now several dollars cheaper. It’s even cheaper to buy individual cans from our local grocery store.

The case of the missing pot roast
Broth is good but it was thin and maybe six tiny bites of pot roast in the entire can. I will never.buying again.

Great to always have in your home
I have soup every day. I have been getting these from the local supermarket. Here is a list of pros on consPros:- very tasty, savory, fulls you up-low calorie food. Could have half a can or get the low calorie one-large can, it can fill you up easily-lots of flavors to choose from-clean ingredients compared to other soup brands-the soup cans on Amazon are cheaper than the store. In store they are between $3.50 to 4.50. So Amazon is cheaper and comes to your doorCons-sometimes the meat can be dry (regardless of flavor chicken or beef)-buying off Amazon means you need to go a bunch of only 1 kind of soup (in store you can pick a few options however in store is twice as expensive)

This soup is unnecessarily picante.
I adore spicy Mexican food and I always get my Chinese spicy, but I cannot finish this bowl of soup. In fact, the first spoonful had my eyes watering.I don't understand adding so much hot sauce/chilis that all the other flavors in the soup are overcome. This is like swallowing fire. :(

The price has gone up astronomically
It used to be very available at a cost per ounce similar to Campbell’s Chicken Tortilla Soup. But now it is either unavailable or about double that price per ounce.
