It practically promises to safe your life. I wouldn't go that far. It has a nice nutty flavor and goes well in the foods I tried; yogurt, waffle mix, and meatballs. It's a nice way to get your omega-3s.

Many food sources are touted now-a-days to be a 'miracle' and potent food source. I've been taking a tablespoon of salba ground seeds for over a year and have not noticed any difference in my overall health or energy.

I am a type two diabetic and due to the insulin and other medications I take, I have severe CONSTIPATION. I have tried everything an nothing worked. I would have to be very uncomfortable for as long as five days until I found SALBA GROUND.Salba for me is nothing short of a miracle. The most important thing to remember is trink at least 10 - 12 8oz. glasses of water, which pushes the SALBA SEED through your system. If you don't drink the water you will have the reverse affect. The interesting source of this wonderful product is one of the DIABETIC magizines that I subscribe to and the article about SALBA was a reprint of a 2007 article in the same magazine, which was never done before or supported by the NATIONAL DIABETES FOUNDATION. They, AMAZON carry a full line of all the SALBA products. I have tried different varaiations of SALBA, but the SALBA GROUND SEED is my " FRIEND IN NEED".

I tried it but my stomach could not tolerate it so gave it to my sister who uses the product each day.

I am currently studying nutritional science and holistic nutrition. I read about the health benefits of Salba and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad that I did because it really is delicious and now it has become a part of my daily diet. To me the flavor is somewhere between ground flax and wheat germ. I sprinkle it in my yogurt, in my oatmeal or cold cereal, but the possibilities are endless. You can go to the Salba website and they have tons of recipe ideas incorporating this product. It is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber and antioxidants and all you need is a tablespoon or two a day (low in calories too). It's a great product to add to a healthy diet, especially if you are having a hard time trying to find a source of omega-3 that you like!

I purchased 3 bottles of the Salba--the single bottle's protective seal was not securely attached to the bottle so I threw that bottle away. I should have returned it. Have used some of the Salba and while it does not change the taste of whatever you mix with it, I have not noticed any results of increased energy, lower blood sugars etc. Perhaps I was expecting too much.

We use Salba everyday and in so many foods; smoothies, pasta sauces, grill cheese, lasagna, etc. I do not use it on foods where it may be left on the plate, like salads it is too valuable, HAHA. A little bit here and there in our foods and I know my kids are getting a large amount of antioxidants, fiber, and Omegas in a healthy natural way, not a pill.

Great way to get protein in oatmeal and soups and salads without protein.
