DCOU Garlic Press Rocker 304 Stainless Steel Garlic Crusher Garlic Mincer with Silicone Tube Roller

I had previously purchased one of these but it was made of plastic with a metal cutting plate. Unfortunately, the brute force required to use it broke it. So, when I found this one, which is all metal, I immediately ordered one. I am glad to report that this one is much more durable. It will be used in my kitchen for years to come. The silicone sleeve is a bonus. It works well but could have been better if made of heavier material.

Doesn’t mince or crush the garlic into as small of pieces as I thought it would. It seems to more like smash it, creating a lot of liquid, and then I still had to chop it finer with a knife. Disappointed. I do not recommend this and would search for a better product.

LOVE this garlic press! I had a cheaper version prior to buying this one that had a metal interior and plastic exterior. It eventually broke and the metal press came detached from the plastic exterior from pressing down on the garlic. This garlic press is GREAT because it’s all one unit so nothing will de-datch. It also comes with a bonus garlic peeler. If you are looking at different ones, make sure to get one that is all one unit like this one if you want it to last! The holes on this press are larger and makes the garlic more chunky than the traditional hand held press which has much smaller holes.

I used to spend an hour peeling 4-5 garlic bulbs with a paring knife. Time is at least 30% reduced and effort (eye strain, hand fatigue, neck and back fatigue) is at least 80% reduced. You still have to break the bulb apart into cloves but simply inserting the clove in the sleeve and rolling to break the skin loose is no stress and very little effort to remove the remaining skin. Clean up is simple and the silicon sleeve should last forever since there is little stress put on it during the peeling process. I haven't used the steel crusher yet and probably never will. I either dice, slice or smash the garlic all with a knife.

I love this garlic set! I have tried numerous products to handle garlic. A couple were the old metal squeeze with handles and all you get is a tiny bit of garlic and a big mess all stuck in the holes. Ive tried hammering it with a chicken mallet ( flying everywhere!)When i first saw this garlic rocker i thought oh no, more holes! But I decided to give it a shot. And to my delight, it was great! A little bigger than i thought but that ended up being a good thing too!First you roll the garlic in the silicone tube. It doesn't quite peel the garlic but helps enough to make it easier than with your fingers and best of all no stinky smell of garlic on your hands for hours!Then you put a couple of peeled cloves down, set the rocker on top, and rock while pushing firmly. Scrape the rocker and you have almost all the garlic clove minced and ready to cook!I also thought it was pretty easy to clean. Rinse with water. If anything gets stuck in the holes just use a toothpick to pop it out.So it is a great choice for all you garlic lovers out there!

The cleaning of the garlic press is easy. I found that it takes a lot of hand strength to get the garlic to press through. Would not be good if one had weak strength in hands to be able to push down hard enough for the garlic to break through even on a hard surface. I liked the why it crushed the garlic through the holes but it takes strength to get it through. Not good for older and frail individuals or arthritic hands.

I LOVE this kitchen tool! I cook with garlic at least once a day (it is delicious and also strengthens the immune system---so important in this season of such high health risk). This way of breaking up garlic cloves for cooking is new to me, and I just LOVE it. This item works perfectly and easily and leaves NO garlic out of my dishes. It is effortless to use and effortless to clean. One heads up; a couple of the filter holes will keep their mashed garlic in them after each use. It then needs a quick poke with a sharp knife---well worth the effort for garlic piece-letts that are just right for flavoring rich delicious food. I will be reluctant to ever return to a conventional press.

When this first arrived, I honestly did not know what to do with it because the instructions made no sense, and the silicone sleeve just made it more confusing. Since I figured out how to use this, with a rocking motion over the garlic, without even peeling all the garlic. Personally, I just cut off the hard end of the garlic. This tool is better than any garlic press I have ever used, and I have used quite a few, but I have found the perfect one. The rest of them went to the trash. All the pressed garlic comes up through the holes and everything else stays attached to the bottom of tool - I mean every bit of what you want to throw out. Hopefully the pictures does this justice!! Absolutely love it!! I will give to relatives for Christmas - and oh, I love my relatives!!!
