Used both on a wooden shed and fence. Works wonderfully - the wood soaks up the treatment quickly.Compared to water based, this stuff seems to have better staying power (have used it previously) than water-based, you don't worry about a good shower washing the darn stuff out of the wood. Plus, since it's oil based you don't seem to get issues with some bits of wood not taking the stain.The only thing I would say is cover anything you don't want spattered and wear gloves/glasses while using it.
