I have used Tide for years. It is a great product. Wish I had a magic wand to get out grandsons tee shirts.

I just wanted to take a minute and share my appreciation for Tide Pods. My family rarely bought brand name detergent. It was mostly Xtra. When I did clothes, I always put in more than what it said to and I still wasn't satisfied. Sure the clothes might be "clean", but the smell didn't last. My parents smoked so I had to deal with that too. When I started working and had money of my own I'd buy brand name things. Tide was one of them. It was liquid at first then the Pods came out and I started on those almost immediately. Fast forward to today. In my quest for the best detergent, I found Tide "Heavy Duty" Pods. The name recently changed to "Hygienic Clean", but upon closer inspection it still says "Heavy Duty" just not as conspicuously. I love these things. Not just because it's easy to use, but the smell lasts for longer than my previous brand and with the Tide name I'm more comfortable thinking that my clothes are actually clean. I often use two Pods for my loads and occasionally I'll pour in their company's scent beads. I'm not ashamed to say that I'm a huge slob too. I have never had a product that consistently removed ALL of my stains every time they are washed. Great product. Highly recommend.

I see several people complain about the smell but maybe my nose isn't as sensitive as i don't find the aroma to be offensive. I like that one pod does a large load. As to smell I washed a load of pet bedding and pet towels and was pleased that the pet odors were gone which in turn made the area i stored them in smell less like my dogs. It even removed odors and stains from my outdoor cat bedding (they were not happy about that as i noticed they kept sniffing at the bedding and rubbing themselves on it to claim it again) I use the same type of pods for all size loads and find it does well. I only buy Tide as other brands don't give me the same results. My machine is a top load HE. I usually wash my machine once a month and rather than waste money on products that claim to wash your washer I just use a Tide Pod So far it works for me so i don't plan on changing. As to price Amazon price is the same as local store and with free delivery it saves on store trips that often result in being tempted by sales to buy unplanned items.
