Love It for Diagnosing Cars/Motorcycles, this covers it all. Im sure it would probably be more convenient if it was wireless/bluetooth but im pretty sure the response time is gonna be better for this wired setup. I havent had latency issues yet but the stuff im using it on arent super fast signals. I want ro try it on canvus stuff just havent needed to yet. Works best on my laptop with 8 channels. I got a usb adapter with a 110v wall wart power supply that i wire between the Scope and Laptop/Tablet etc. This being powered by the USB cable means if you dont add that USB power adapter you will Zap your battery to dead quick on whatever youre using. I can connect this to my Phone (With H Scope App) and/or my Tablets unfortunately with the H Scope App do have to pay for the App but i was able to load it on All my devices. And it works great id probably say i prefer the H.Scope App myself.

bought this as a stand in to get a job finished up with the intention of ordering a much more expensive scope. after using it I may not spend the $2000 on the other set up. this little thing rocks. the 2 only down sides I have run across is the software takes a bit to get used to and the leads are short, but it captures very well and is easy to set up once you get used to the software.

I searched for an automotive oscilloscope to help diagnose ignition issues; this is not that device. There is no way to view or record actual spark plug firing. As a general purpose, low-performance o'scope, it looks like a great tool, especially for recording sensor activity, but for ignition analysis it's useless. I'm keeping it for those positives, but for my main purpose it has nothing to offer. [Edit] Since ordering, I've discovered that there exists an inductive probe that clamps to a spark plug wire; I've ordered 4 of them, and if they work, I'll order 4 more. This addition may make this into an invaluable tool for ignition analysis!

Works just like the pico. No complaints.

I have taught oscilloscope operation and usage for Picoscope, Snap On scopes, Autel scopes and lab scopes. This by far the most difficult and frustrating instrument to attempt to set up I have ever dealt with. And then, after you laboriously get your settings right.... nothing. I have managed to get the scope to display twice, and both times it was about a 1 second clip that bore no resemblance to what I wanted. No matter how I adjusted it, what capture method, what trigger, or how many times I cycled the start/stop button, it just didn't work. In addition, the leads are too short, almost to even be usable. The clips at the end of the leads are too small and cheap. When the insulation heats up (hello.... it's an AUTOMOTIVE scope... things get warm!) they become extremely slick so that it is very difficult to hold on to them or open them. Just about the time you get it open to max and in place, the clip flips around inside the insulation and you are starting all over again. When I bought this, I was looking at diagnosing a particular car and I bought the Hantek and a Pico. But the Pico was twice the money for 2 channels, and this was for 8, so I thought it was the better deal. Oh, fool that I am! I remember now that I had a great deal of trouble trying to get this one to work on that car, and got a perfect picture on the Pico. All I wanted today was to capture an alternator output to verify that the diodes were shorted, so I even used the built-in charging system check function. Nada. Even using their settings I could not get any pattern at all. I definitely do not recommend this scope for anyone or anything. Months later: after spending a great deal of time researching this scope, I found a particularly helpful review you that stated the drivers didn't work with Windows 10 and couldn't possibly work with Windows 10. I have been attempting to find an old laptop that had not been updated to see if the Hantek would work better with it. If I can and if it does, I will perhaps raise the stars and give a better review, but at the moment my rating and review stands as written.
