I replaced/installed the unit myself. **Q: Is there a garage inlet port on this unit?** A: Not on the unit itself like our old one. However it does come with an inlet y that I installed at the unit when hooking up the suction pipe. This unit does a much better job when you use it to vacuum your car or truck in the garage. I highly recommend this one. Richard **Q: Does this require new inlets throughout the house? I have ones from the 90’s. Will they work?** A: This is a replacement vacuum power unit, and connects to the central piping just as the old one did. As long as your inlets can control the unit when you insert the hose it will work.
