If you've ever needed to connect small gauge wire together, you've probably found that most connector don't give you all that good of a connection. These have been used for years by the phone company's and for the most part work very well. these are made to be used without having to stripe the insulation off the wire. Some have a glue (silicon ) inside that keep the wires from corroding under your house or other areas where condensation might be a problem. Even though these are made to to be used without stripping the wires, I stripe them anyway. It's a little more work but I have never had one fail yet after years of use. These are worth the price and you wont find them at your local hardware store.
