GOOD BOOK TO HAVE AROUND
I found that just going into my yard with this book was very interesting. Photos are goodand it is easy to read and understand. I haven't tried eating any of the plants yet!But if we get the famines they are claiming, it would be good to have this book on hand.

Great reference book
Color photos of the plants and solid pages. We just relocated to Texas and needed this book. I like the fact that it has maps showing where in Texas these plants are located

General Knowledge.
I learned from the Wild Edible book but it is more a reference than a field guide. I needed more information to identify the plants.

Fantastic Reference
This handy reference book is descriptive, concise and has great illustrative pictures for each plant reference. It references about 55 common plants around Texas and will be a wonderful reference not dependent on the internet. I plan to buy a few more for family and friends that live close to nature.

Super thin book, barely a pamphlet
It's like he took the chapter of Texas plants from his book on the southwest, cut and pasted... There is just not that much to it. Dissapointingly so.

Accurate and pertinent to central Texas
I thought it covered what’s available here very well. Can there be other plants sure but we’re talking area availability. If you can’t tell a rose bush, apple, pear, persimmon tree etc. etc. you need to have help.

Small
Good but very small book.I shouldn't have been surprised considering the size of the state it's in reference to.
