Love this little bamboo water feature!
This was very easy to put together and we all love the gentle sound the water makes. I've tried several set-ups using the galvanized tub in these photos. The first one with nothing but water and decorative black rocks. This made the most sound but it's not loud by any means. Second photo with round crock and a round glass plate for the water to fall on. I had hopes the birds would be attracted to the sound of the water. I put the grape jelly on there to attract my orioles to the water feature while they dined. Third one is my favorite and prettiest. My sister made the ceramic plate the water is falling on and it's held up by the same small round crock. I've cleaned the whole thing a couple of times as the rocks, water intake tube, and insides of the tub get sort of slimy but it's easy. The little pump is great and cleans easily by running clean water over it, and if necessary, using an old toothbrush to clean any debris caught in the intake. There is a tiny bit of mold on the bamboo which surprised me. All in all, despite the somewhat high cost of something like bamboo I love this little water feature.

Look no further - Best water fountain concept EVER!!!!
I had been looking for a real fountain for years. I kept wasting my money with fountains that were barely audible but then I saw this and gave it a try. I am more than happy. One I do NOT hear the motor. Ever. Second, I really hear the water and ONLY the water. And third I can use my own bowl. For now I am using a ceramic salad bowl but will go and buy a deeper bowl. One thing to be aware of when you purchase, the manufacturer sells some made for shallower containers, and others like the one I bought better fitted for deeper containers. This makes a difference, because water may be splashing around, depending on how your bowl fits. I plan to buy a second one to put in my bedroom at night. For now, since I do not have the right bowl but still want to use it, I put a tray underneath the bowl to catch some of the water. Cannot recommend it enough!!!

Happy with this purchase!
Was afraid it might be too light weight and blow off the edge of the water pot but it hasnโt. Easy assembly, nice consistent water sound. I have mine on a deep bowl so that the water falls further and makes a little more sound. Will also be easy to take inside for winter storage.

Easy and works great
My old fountain died, so I decided on this as the replacement. I like being able to select my own pot to fit my decor. The fountain arrived quickly, was very easy to assemble and depoly on my pot. It works great. Just the right amount of water sound. A week into using it, I love it and despite it being a tad pricy, I recommend it.

Nice but way overpriced
It's easy to make something really special looking with this, but it is very pricey for what it is. It's very easy to set up, but it is a bit top heavy so I had to find a way to secure it. Luckily, my pot had holes in it to attach the bamboo handles you see, so I ran some zip ties for now. I also had to cut back the spout a bit cause it was almost over the edge of the pot. I would give 5 stars if it were 10.00 to 12.00 cheaper.

So peaceful & the sound is super tranquil
I have bought fountains before and I never could get the sound of water that I wanted. It was always real faint. With this fountain you can adjust the water flow on the pump to give you the desired effect. I LOVE IT! It sounds just like I wanted and the aesthetic is outta this world. I have this one in my house and would really like to get one for the outside next! Iโll need to keep an eye out for molding of the bamboo. Thatโs the only thing that concerns me about the fountain material. Other than that, very pleased! I got the stand in Berlin, Ohio on a day trip at the village gift barn plant center. The lady suggested I put lily pads and m the water!!! I was so thrilled when I seen how beautiful they looked. She actually gave me 2 started baby plants for free! These plants supposedly โpupโ and will continue to multiply. What a fun time putting this space together.

Perfect
I ordered the 7" size. I experimented with different types of round vessels (ceramic, resin, galvanized steel and stone) with varying diameters, and I ended up using a stone pot that is 7.5" in diameter and 8" tall. It works perfectly. The product description says it is for use on the edge of 6" to 15" diameter containers, but I found that it did not work well with the smallest or widest diameters. When I tried using it with a 6.5" diameter pot, the stream of water (even though it was on the lowest flow setting) overshot the rim leaving me with a puddle of water to mop up. When I tried using it with a galvanized steel bucket with a top diameter of 12.5", it just didn't seem stable. I did not try it with any square-shaped vessels. As to the sound, I found that it did not vary much among container types. The sound was good with all. A tip: When I first plugged it in, it didn't work; but somewhere I read that unplugging it and plugging it back in a few times would solve the problem, and it did. In addition to the soothing, tranquil sounds, an added plus is that the fountain has attracted lots of songbirds to some newly placed feeders on my apartment balcony. I am very happy with this fountain and would not hesitate to buy another. UPDATE: These pictures reflect how the fountain looks 4 weeks after purchase. The bamboo is turning black and green, and I am afraid to even touch it. The spout is literally crumbling away. I contacted BambooAccents (as they request you do before returning). Crickets.

Love the sound
As I write this review, I have my patio door open and listening to the sound of my lovely fountain. Yeah, depending on where you live, youโll probably only get a good year+ out of it, but itโs a good year. Enjoy your outdoors during the spring and summer with this fountain. You wonโt regret it. This is at least my second or third one, and each time weโve not been disappointed.

Nice Looking
We set the unit up in a large pot for the summer. Easy to setup and worked with easy to control flow of the water. Only thing that could have been better was the length of the bamboo that goes into the water, if longer we could have used a bigger pot for the fountain. Arrived on date promised.

Doesn't look too safe.
Okay, I got this but I see the power cord goes directly from the wall outlet to the pump (which is submersible), and while sealed the power cord is just a regular cord. NO power interrupt, not fuse, no power brick/supply to reduce the voltage, no nothing. Just straight from wall, into the water where it powers the pump. So... if you get a break in the seal or plastic coating of the power cord (just the same cord you'd have on a desk lamp), you now have a power cord directly into the water with no safety interrupt. Clearly "Made in China" where safety isn't much of an issue. Wasn't too impressed with that. I'd have expected a better housing for the power cord at least for where it is submerged. I can in my mind see sparks, breakers popping, etc. one day from this. Otherwise the concept, and design is great and versatile. Just needs more of an eye to safety.
