A Good Read
I haven't read a book by these authors before and i was very intrigued as everyone was talking about it.When I saw the cover for Dirty Letters that also pulled me in.Luca and Griffin met when they were young and became very close as children and as pen-pals.Luca is in the USA and Griffin is in the UK as a boy. They start to write alot of letters to each other sharing absolutely everything and communicated alot through these letters, that was until one day everything changed, suddenly the letters stopped.... nothing...When Luca goes through a tragedy during high school, her life is changed forever. She goes through alot of pain, guilt, hurt and anxiety and she struggles to move on with her life.Griffin doesn't understand whats going on. Years later Luca gets a letter out of the blue and is shocked.Luca ends up having to go on a road trip to her fathers home to clear it out, but as she suffers with agoraphobic and severe anxiety and asks her doc to ride with her.Luca has separated herself from the world and society.Griffin now lives in California and the two happen to reconnect. The authors brought the characters to life completely in an exceptional well whilst they also did highlight the struggles in the book extremely well. The letters did take me on an emotional roller coaster sometimes.I will say at first i actually thought that Luca was male which we find out not.I would recommend this book although at times i did struggle with some parts and i found it sometimes difficult to read.Thank You

Penpals to lovers
Childhood penpals Luca and Griffin reconnect after 8 years of no contact. This time they quickly realise that there is more to this than just a friendship but Griffin is scared to fully show himself to her and Luca is scared because of her mental health.I really enjoyed reading this book (I have a love for letters/text communication between characters š) and Griffin is such a sweet hero.He really wants to do the best for Luca and wants her to be comfortable and happy at all times.Doc's character was lush! I love a good side character. He was so good for Luca and her personal issues and the friendship between them was so cute. Then when he started being there for Griffin too š„°š„°I devoured this book in less than day, such an easy read and good story.

Loved it
The book follows penpals Griffin, based in the UK and Luca, based in the USA. Theyāve been writing to each other since they were at school and then something happened and Luca stopped responding to Griffinās letters. When Lucaās least expecting it she receives a letter from a now adult Griffin and the penpals connect once again. This was a truly a heartwarming story of two people who due to circumstances lose their way from each other. What I really liked about the book was that it actually included the letters that they wrote to each other which made the storyline feel real. I just found it to be a really sweet book. This was my first Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward book and I wasnāt disappointed. Swipe for a sneak peak of my favourite paragraph from the book!

More than a smutty book!
This book really surprised me, I was expecting a light easy to read smutty book... but this book had depth AND smut! š¤©I really loved the concept of this book, the characters have never met but were childhood best friends by way of letters. They lose touch after an event that devastates Luca. Griffin writes a letter 8 years later, to vent his frustration at her lack of response and it rekindles their friendship and more! šI loved the Doc character, he was quirky and kind. He clearly cares for Luca and he does it in a tough love way and manages to sneak in some of his favourite hobby bird watching whilst helping her to heal!šThese two authors make an awesome duo, and I canāt wait to read another one of their joint creations! This is currently available on KU too! š

Right in the feels..
āA beautiful heart is far more valuable than anything that can be bought.āI donāt know where to begin with this one. This is my first read from Vi or Penelope and now I need everything else theyāve ever written.I canāt begin on the story. I relate to Luca far too much for my own comfort... this story was beautiful, it was hard but ultimately beautiful.Thereās a lot of lessons in this, for someone like me, like Luca and I know Iāll cherish this story always.Doc is one of my favourite literary characters of all times. I absolutely loved him, his heart, his patience, his strength.āOur fears are temporary ā they come and go throughout life. But regret is permanent ā we carry it with us forever.āSide note, the song Oh Luca absolutely ruined me. Thanks Griffin, my heart totally needed that. (Jack's voice is exceptionally beautiful)
