Excellent!
Witherow has absolutely smashed it out of the park with his follow up to The Black Farm! The first book was interesting and the concept intriguing, yet it left me wanting more character development, a better passage of time and a more detailed description of the vast land that is The Black Farm to really allow me to get sucked in to this horrific world. Thankfully Witherow delivered and we return to The Black Farm, traversing the world which now feels more full of life (and death), it feels bigger, more dangerous and a hell of a lot more interesting. The descriptive element to Witherow's writing can be a little repetitive at times; which is the only negative I can possibly conjure up.The story is fully immersive and you find yourself genuinely invested in the characters, some new and some familiar. We get answers to the questions we all undoubtedly raised as the first book came to an end, some of which are welcome and others we wish we never enquired about. But above everything else, this more character-centred plot takes on a whole new, slightly less gruesome, yet considerably more emotional turn and is hands down the best book I have read in a very long time.

Explosive return!
I honestly didn't know how Elias would be able to pull off a return to the Black Farm, or even why, but the continuation is seamless. This one tugged at my heart strings even more than the first. It's more character driven, but that just allows the reader to sympathise with the characters, really feel the hurt and horror and guilt and heartache. As a slight negative, I feel this sequel was perhaps rushed out off the back of the success of the first book - there are quite a lot of spelling/grammatical errors, and the ending leaves a lot to be desired. But honestly despite those small hitches, it's definitely worth the read. I'm quite sad that I've finished it, actually. I feel quite intimately familiar with both Nick and the Black Farm now and I'm quite sad that I won't read about how either progress.I would love an off-shoot novel from Danny's perspective, though!Great book. Buy it and read it. It's worth it.

Elias Witherow...king of messed up fiction!
I don't know what to say apart from bloody amazing! I had initially read Elias Witherow's work on Reddit and when saw these books, I was ecstatic that he had published full-length stories. As you can see from the picture, I purchased The Black Farm and Return to the Black Farm. I read them both in two days, I could not put them down. I also purchased two if his other books, The Third Parent and The Worst Kind of Monsters...all are absolutely brilliant and terrifying. I read all four books in 4 days!!! Usually books don't scare me, not much does, but these gave me serious case of the creeps. If you're looking for true horror stories that are well-written, incredibly detailed and so dark and twisted...these are for you!

Amazing
I read this book religiously, repeatedly blown away by the detail and captivity. I am so excited to read more of his books. Thank you truly.

Great follow up to Black Farm
Another great read by Elias Witherow, I thought the first book was marginally better, but this one was very good as well. Again, here he is pushing the boundaries of horror and provides plenty of shock factor. Definitely recommend if you have a strong stomach!

Gruesome again
I downloaded this for my holiday read (gruesome) and yet again I couldn’t put it down, like all books I read I really got into this and found myself being drawn into this place (scary). I’ve never really read anything like this before but enjoyed it immensely.
