Glock KD039179 Fixed Field Knife w/Saw 6.5" Blade 11.4" Overall FDE

The knife was delivered today and I was impressed with it. The build quality is superb, the sheath locks up securely with the knife and the sheath is perfectly adequate and seems durable. The knife and sheath have a very slender design and very easy to carry on a belt, affix to a pack or stow in a pack. I like the way the handle feels in my hand. The only problem with the handle is that it may be difficult to maintain a good grip if it gets muddy or wet. The knife is solid and weighs less than half a pound so it is a great pack knife for capability and weight savings. Again, I really like this knife and I think it will make a great addition to my camping gear. I was so impressed with the first knife that I bought and recently received the second one. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of these knives. I recently touched up the edges on both and I was pleased with how well they sharpened. I would recommend a light coating of oil on the blade to prevent the exposed edge from developing rust, similar to K-bars. Other than that I would happily recommend this knife for camping and use around the house.

Pretty well made knife coming straight out of Austria. It’s very lightweight in the hands, and the sheath is very sturdy and keeps the blade locked in tight. The belt loop is also a welcome feature on this knife. It comes in a little bit of factory oil to preserve it but should come clean with a few wipes. I like the added saw blade on the spine of the knife which gives it more utility for different functions considering it is the standard issue field knife of not only the Austrian military but also several countries’ military and police forces such as India, Germany, Poland, South Korea, and Denmark to name a few. Really excellent knife for the cost as well!

Well built, comes fairly sharp, but can be fine tuned. Good sheath, locks in place, can be worn right or left handed. Fantastic knife for the price.

Great nice, thinner in the palm than expected but the blade is thick and durable. Like most recents purchases I bought this because of video came out showing it baton through a steel rod with ease. It's a must buy at this price

The Austria quality and craftsmanship is appreciated in this working knife.

I bought this knife to abuse at work, in an effort to spare my finer or more expensive tools. This is excellent for a variety of job site tasks and is easy to store and easy to sharpen. The sheath is useful as well. It's a thick blade with a thin profile and works well for testing rotten wood, cutting insulation, opening packages and supplies etc. it's more like a tool to my mind...that said , people have oft remarked that this knife is well balanced and throws fairly well. I have found that assessment to be fairly accurate.
