Bought one of those Type-S backup cameras for my old truck. It didn't come with security screws so anyone with a phillips tip screwdriver could easily steal it, hence was looking for something more secure. Bought these since it came with machine screws that I could use with the '96 Camry and '15 Sonata.For those two these worked fine, but the self tapping screws were not the same thread pitch as those already on my truck ('98 Dakota) and didn't want to risk making things worse so opted to get some other 1/4" security screws from another seller. So that was a bummer that I had to purchase extra screws.Strange that this comes with 5 screws of each instead of 6, since you need 2 per license plate.The rest of the hardware in this kit I'll probably never use. I guess I could put the little caps on the screws but that's about it. It did come with everything shown in the picture. The bit is a T-30 6 pointed star with hole in center for the security pin. So a little more secure than a plain old flat tip or phillips tip screw, but it is a bit that can be bought at harbor freight.

Had a plate stolen from our RV so I bought these to at least make it harder for a thief to remove. The screw head is not a standard 'slot' or 'Phillips' so, yeah, the thief isn't likely to have the unique screwdriver required to remove. However, a good set of screwdriver bits will have one that works, but still, much better than nothing. First I used them to secure personalized plates on a Honda and they worked perfectly. Then I tried to use them on the RV. The screws are of a different thread pitch and don't work. My mechanic is currently figuring it out but....?

Bought this set of security screws to secure two cars license plate. The set came with regular screws and bolts. The first car was easy to install both front and rear plates. The second car with the screws alos was an easy installation. With the caps it provided a finishing touch over the screw heads. I now have two cars with secured license plates that can't be removed without the security key that was provided. Good product.

Nice kit with more than enough parts to do the job. Comes with screws and bolts, but they are just barely longer enough to work. I needed screws for one car and bolts for the other one. Extra screws and bolts and covers in kit, along with washers and pads I didn't need. The wrench supplied worked ok but slipped in sockets a few times - not well machined.

The item was easy to install on my 2008 Ford Escape. But I think the screws could be a little longer to install satisfactorily on my 2005 GMC Envoy. The license plate holders on the vehicles are different. Hopefully any possible thief will chose an easier vehicle to pilfer from.
